Note on adding unsourced content

[edit]
A cup of coffee for you!

Hey, I'm Flooded with them hundreds. I noticed that you added content to an article but didn't provide a reliable source. You should cite a reliable source for all of your edits so that they can be verified. In Wikipedia, verifiability means that other people using the encyclopedia can check that the information comes from a reliable source. Adding unsourced content contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial.

Wikipedia does not publish original research, which refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist. Its content is determined by previously published information rather than the beliefs or experiences of its editors. Even if you're sure something is true, it must be verifiable before you can add it. The verifiability policy requires inline citations for any material challenged or likely to be challenged, and for all quotations, anywhere in article space. Articles should be based on reliable and published sources (see Wikipedia:Neutral point of view) and if no reliable sources can be found on a topic, Wikipedia should not have an article on it.

Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Flooded with them hundreds 14:44, 18 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Deepak Digamber Pathak requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

I'm afraid you'll most likely be facing a block when all you do is to keep writing your own promotional autobiography, rather than contributing to the encyclopedia. theinstantmatrix (talk) 12:06, 19 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

What wikipedia is WP:NOT

[edit]

Hi. This is Wikipedia. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. Wikipedia is not facebook and not a business directory. At some point an actual contribution is expected. Please keep that in mind when editing. Thanks. Kleuske (talk) 16:27, 19 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, By keeping in mind i have created this page as i am the CEO of company and for my company i too need the wikipedia page so before starting with that iI asked my content writer to create the page for me and my Company.
Hope there wont be issue in that to list the Company and CEO of the company in Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Deepak Digamber Pathak (talkcontribs)
If you were the Queen of Sheba, that still would not change a thing. Wikipedia was not created to suit your business needs. CEO's of non-notable firms are a dime a dozen, here. Kleuske (talk) 18:07, 19 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notability

[edit]

Hi. I've had a read over this page and your two unblock requests to WP:UTRS, and I think you might need a bit more explanation of the conditions under which Wikipedia would carry an article about a company and/or about a CEO.

Firstly, Wikipedia does not exist for companies to tell the world about themselves. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia (click that link if you are not sure what one of those is) and does not work like Facebook or any other social media site. Wikipedia is not a company directory and is not a platform to be used for digital marketing, and the mere existence of a company does not mean it qualifies for a Wikipedia article.

For a company to qualify for a Wikipedia article it would need to satisfy the minimum notability requirements of WP:NCORP and would need to be supported by multiple independent reliable source (see WP:RS) covering the company in depth. And, ideally, an article about a company would be written by a disinterested third party and not by any agent of the company - Wikipedia's policies on Conflict of Interest and Paid editing are relevant here.

The same goes for yourself as a CEO - have a read of WP:NPERSON to learn about the notability requirements for a person to qualify for a Wikipedia article.

Finally, having considered what you have said about your company, I really do not see that it satisfies WP:NCORP at the moment, and in my opinion it does not qualify for a Wikipedia encyclopedia article. But I wish you success, and I look forward to your company growing to become sufficiently notable for Wikipedia. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 08:47, 20 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
