Some words of advise

[edit]

I came across some edits of you on a series of pages after I saw that someone undid your edits at the Homeopathy article. Although I disagree with the edit sumary s/he wrote, I can see why it happened. I had a look at some of the other pages you edit, and they are very different from how pages at wikipedia are generaly styled. I have tried to clean up one or two myself, please correct if I did things wrong. However, I would like to suggest that you take a bit of time to read some policy and guideline pages with regard to style and related. I would suggest to start with Wikipedia:Manual of Style. Two small suggestions I already can give: Do not write words in all uppercase, only use bold when really needed, which is hardly ever. If you want, I can help you out at times with advise, just go to my talk page and ask what you want to know. -- Kim van der Linde at venus 04:03, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I saw that you changed the header to lower caps, looks much better. Can I ask you to do the same in the main text as well. -- Kim van der Linde at venus 13:20, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of articles

[edit]

Hello, thanks for your recent contribution to wikipedia. Your last additions, like Udan Vata, however, where not written in coherent english. That is why they might get deleted quickly. If you want to prevent them from getting deleted, I suggest you either write a single article describing all these in detail (with an introduction on what they are about) or at least make sure that the articles contain proper english sentences and descriptions. Good luck editing! Cpt. Morgan (Reinoutr) 13:16, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I understand what you are doing, but you should supply articles like that with an introduction to what they are about. To me, it was a meaningless list of terms without any context. I suggest you write an introduction and move all those terms to one article and then link from Ayurveda to that single article, with you could call Vata (Ayurveda). Cpt. Morgan (Reinoutr) 13:34, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion

[edit]

I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article "Rig Veda" some maxim, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Importance). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:"Rig Veda" some maxim. If you remove the {{dated prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. I appreciate all your input in the talk page of Ayurveda. However, may I suggest the following:
Tone down the rhetoric a bit. It doesn't help in refuting the claims made by biased editors. We must be objective and refute the claims of the anon user who's been putting garbage edits in.
Make edits to the article, not the talk page. If you have any verifiable information then please please put it in the article. Do not delete legitimate scientific criticisms, bearing in mind that other traditional alternative medicines like Acupuncture and Reiki have similar criticisms. Just make sure to read the cited sources, check to see if they satisfy Wikipedia:Reliable Sources and whether they are relevant to the article or not. Remove all statements that do not have any sources as they violete wikipedia policy. Also, ALWAYS cite your sources in your edits.
With these guidelines, we can fix up the article and make it unbiased and well-sourced. Thank you and good luck.Hkelkar 06:42, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Debbe,

Welcome to Wikipedia!

Unfortunately, using your e-mail address as your username is not a good idea. Wikipedia content is extensively copied and the site itself is one of the most visited sites in the world. Any edit you make on Wikipedia will have your username attached to it, and using your email address will make you a tempting target for spammers. We recommend that you change your username at Wikipedia:Changing username in order to prevent abuse. However, if you have very few or no edits, it might just be easier to create a new account.

If you need any help, simply contact me on my talk page, or go to Wikipedia:Help desk. Another option is to place {{helpme}} on your own talk page, and someone will come shortly to help. Remember to sign your posts on talk pages with four tildes (~~~~). Again, welcome!-- thunderboltz(Deepu) 10:59, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Ayurveda Category

[edit]
While you seem to have done well in various articles of Ayurveda, please do take the time to read about WP:Reliable Sources,WP:Verifiability and WP:CITE policies so that you can cite good reliable articles related to the subject matter using the method detailed in WP:CITE. The more you do that, the closer we can get to removing all those "Unreferenced" and "citation needed" tags and clean up the articles so that they will be good wikipedia articles with valuable information. Thank you.Hkelkar 08:56, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again. I am a little busy with another article right now but I would appreciate if you looked at these references to expand the Ayurveda and Research and innovations in Ayurveda:

In case you don;t have jstor subscription, I do and can get a copy of the article for you to read. Please notify me in my talk page if you have the time to do this. Thanks.Hkelkar 11:12, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry that I haven't had much time to work on the Ayurveda article. I was wondering if you had been able to find some references for the parts of the article that are unreferenced. If you can associate specific statements in the sections with specific books/papers then please let me know and I would be happy to help you cite them accordingly.I'd really like this article to be better.Hkelkar 07:57, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is Pernambuco from the Classical homeopathy page, I was not a very capable editor when I started, but the article just needs some cleanup. Please help... Quath

[edit]

A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article Quath, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but yours may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Homeopathy

[edit]

Hey, I just finished a rewrite draft of the Homeopathy article. The article has major problems and I'm trying to turn it into a featured article and I noticed you were a contributor to related articles so I thought you might want to help. The draft is a rough approximation of what it should be like. It obviously has some flaws in it's format and wording right now but they will be kinked out within the next couple of days. Right now what I want is for you, if you're interested in helping to improve the article, to come to the articles talk page. I'm trying to get all of the articles major contributors to discuss the rough draft and hack out a consensus so that we can replace it with the current article. There we will all discuss the article and how it could be improved before we replace the current homeopathy article with it. In order for this to work we need to follow a few rules. The first rule, the most important rule, is that no one but me can edit the rough draft. Do not edit the rough draft. This precaution is used to prevent edit warring and loss or addition of information that might not be up to consensus. Don't worry, It's just a draft and you'll have all the time you want to make changes after we've replaced it with the current article. The second rule is that all proposed changes in the rough draft must be made on the talk page of the rough draft and must be clear and concise. At that point anyone involved will discuss the proposed changes and if agreed by consensus they will be implemented. We will do that until there is no disputes or disagreements. After all disputes are hammered out, we will replace the homeopathy article with the rough draft. At that point there shouldn't be anyone needing to make huge edits, and if you do see an edit that you want to make, be sure to add a note on the talk page PRIOR to making the edit so that consensus can be reached and then you should make the edit. If you have any questions you can leave me a message on my talk page. Here is the link to the rough draft Link to rough draft. Thanks. Wikidudeman (talk) 08:58, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy delete

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Churna / Powder, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Amartyabag TALK2ME 11:30, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

About your work on the article of Ayurveda

[edit]

You have worked a lot on the article. Nice to see that. I am able to understand the frustration it gives when there are challenges of science. But this is how it is. A scientist need not be biased as every new (positive or negative) finding is an excitement. The more unbiased we are, the more happiness we get out of investigation. It is not possible to completely unbiased but we can be as little biased as possible. Truth is more important that our views. If this thing is kept in mind, I am sure that you will excel on Wikipedia. Many good wishes to your editing. Have a great day. Thanks. --Abhijeet Safai (talk) 06:35, 26 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Debbe, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
