I, Davemoser123, request the undeletion of this Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it. Davemoser123 (talk) 03:40, 3 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Lidia Kaminska requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Baseball Watcher 01:29, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Bear on the Square Mountain Festival, a page you created, has not been edited in 6 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:31, 7 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Davemoser123. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Bear on the Square Mountain Festival".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by one of two methods (don't do both): 1) follow the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13, or 2) copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Bear on the Square Mountain Festival}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, and click "Save page". An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 11:55, 31 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have over the last several days requested a un-delete and seen no response.

  • I'd actually replied to this back on June 1 when you initially requested this and again Wikipedia:Requests_for_undeletion#Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation.2FBear_on_the_Square_Mountain_Festival|tonight]] when you requested this again. The problem with the article was that you took the content directly from several sources (official promotional blurbs for the festival), which made the article a copyright violation. You could file a ticket through WP:ORTS that gave Wikipedia permission to use the material, but that would not take care of the very promotional tones that are in the article. Right now you'd have to completely re-write the article from scratch in order to remove all of the promotional tones, so I would recommend against the prior drafts getting restored. It contained words like picturesque", "finest", and "impressive", all of which are considered to be WP:PEACOCK terms that are unacceptable on Wikipedia. You need to be very careful about this since articles can be deleted based on promotion alone and I'm actually a little surprised that this wasn't. I'm also worried about the potential conflict of interest here since odds are high that you are someone involved with the festival and thus have a direct WP:COI. This doesn't mean that you can't work on an entry, just that it tends to be discouraged because it's so incredibly easy for someone that's involved to write about something in a promotional tone or to feel a bit of WP:OWNERSHIP if the page doesn't look a certain way (positive, worded to resemble the official website, etc). I also need to note that the page also needed coverage in reliable sources that is independent of the festival itself, since the deleted article contained no sources. I know that it hadn't been submitted, but that's something that would be required if you were to create a new entry and submit it for acceptance. Be careful to make sure that the coverage is in-depth and not just in passing or a routine notification of an event. You can use local coverage, but be cautious of this as well since local coverage tends to be depreciated in a lot of editors' eyes since it's within an area's best interests to write about a local event. (IE, local interest stories) I don't always agree with this, but I can see where the concern comes from, which is mostly that you have to show where the topic (in this case a festival) is of interest to people beyond the town itself. Thanks for your response, I see your concern. Yes I do the website and am one of the workers at the festival. So it was easy to copy text from the website. The intention is to describe the distinctive features that make it unique from the other music festivals while the web site's function is to detail the event schedules. I do think including some of the past performers adds to the flavor of music not as a promotional item. I'll try again. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Davemoser123&action=edit&section=5#
