Moto Guzzi NTX

Hi. You declined my request to protect the article Moto Guzzi NTX (repeated restoration of unreferenced content by IP) with the edit summary of Declined. Both the article and various IP's talk page are blank. Try reaching them there first?. I have tried the discuss the matter with the IP at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Motorcycling#Article of your competence in the draft to be moving but their responses are along the line of adding a {{refimprove}} tag obliviates the need to comply with WP:VERIFY and specifically WP:BURDEN. They seem so entrenched in their views that I don't see any further discussion would be fruitful. Could I ask you to have another look at this? Thanks. John B123 (talk) 20:47, 4 May 2023 (UTC)

Their opinion on the talk page is certainly misguided. I'd recommend leaving the unsourced content there for a few more weeks. If it hasn't been cited by then, remove it. If the IP edit wars to remove it, reach out to an administrator or such with the facts and a partial rangeblock will most likely be applied. DatGuyTalkContribs 15:30, 5 May 2023 (UTC)
Thanks for having another look and for your advice. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 20:25, 5 May 2023 (UTC)

Question

hi DatGuy, I've seen some edits from the IP-Address 92.9.7.129 which could be related to TheCurrencyGuy. I'm not sure if he is but it looks a lot like his editing style. Could you help me on that one? Thanks in advance! ChaaZ001 (talk) 18:46, 6 May 2023 (UTC)

It's possible, but the IP is stale by now. DatGuyTalkContribs 19:43, 6 May 2023 (UTC)

DatBot feature request

First, see the new link at WP:EF/FP. The page had been set up with the assumption that no one would ever report someone else's FP, but I've boldly fixed that. Would it be possible to add something like this to DatBot reports:

{{False positive other/Link|filterid=1241|logid=35105092|username=73.67.145.30|page=User talk:129.59.122.76}}

This will render as "Report false positive".

Ideally the logid should be a disallowed edit, if that's not too complex to implement. Thanks! Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 20:13, 16 May 2023 (UTC)

I'm not sure how often it would be used, but should now be implemented. The data supplied to the template varies depending on the filter configuration. DatGuyTalkContribs 15:31, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
Thanks, looks good. I hope people use it; I sometimes stumble on to FPs just because I randomly open WP:AIV/TB2 and see a " False positive. Edits are not vandalism.". Suffusion of Yellow (talk) 22:34, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
