Replaceable fair use Image:Razed in Black Live Crew (Switchblade Symphony Tour).jpg

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Razed in Black Live Crew (Switchblade Symphony Tour).jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. High on a tree 00:05, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Bal-Sagoth Battle Magic.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --14:33, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure why I got this message. A quick glance at the image page in question will show that all of this has already been done. A further look at the history will show that I did this long before I got this message. Is FairuseBot experiencing some hiccups? -- Christopher C. Parker t c 11:55, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You burned your mouth on a lollipop?

[edit]

I've eaten lots of sour candy like that myself, and I know the burn feeling youre thinking of, but it would surprise me if the two were related. Is it possible that you drank some too-hot coffee earlier in the day and that it caused a burn which you later attributed to the candy? Because I dont think malic acid should be able to burn through your tongue even if you ate candy with lots of it very slowly to get the maximum sourness effect. However when I do burn my tongue on something hot, eating something sour while the wound is still unhealed will be tearfully painful.

That said, however, if it were capsaicin instead of malic acid, it really could eat through your tongue. But that would just be incredibly, incredibly cruel and so I don't think a candy made out of capsaicin would do so well with the kiddies. (Though apparently they exist).

I hope you haven't let this traumatic lollipop incident ruin your appreciation for sour candy in general. Soap Talk/Contributions 02:59, 21 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Jozlin Bones requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Hoponpop69 (talk) 18:06, 5 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
