I can only read the first part of your message - presumably regarding my edits in November 2017. Would you like to expand here, please. - Derek R Bullamore (talk) 13:16, 10 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Derek, Thanks for your prompt reply, here is a copy of the original message:

I noticed that you edited a page for Eugene Terentjev, he is a Cambridge Director of Studies at Queens College.

I am trying to get a page submitted for Dr John Ellis who is also a Cambridge Director of Studies, but at Gonville and Caius College.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:John_Ellis_(British_physicist)

I was wondering if you could give me some advice for getting this submission accepted, Kind Regards C

I am a long way from my comfort zone on this type of subject matter. In addition, I have never operated in the WP:AfC arena, as I do not feel particularly at ease dealing with other editors draft articles. There are three pieces of advice I would give. Firstly, if you have not already done so, contact those editors who have corresponded with you on this draft, and ask specific questions as to how the draft needs to be enhanced to meet the eligibility criteria. Secondly, have a read of some of the blue links in the standard replies you have had - specifically WP:NPROF and ask yourself if you can see why the subject matter is falling short. Finally, often it is a lack of reliable third party references that is the stumbling block. In other words, has John Ellis had coverage in publications outside those having a close affiliation to the subject matter ? Note that not everyone is deemed notable ! I hope this helps.
