Is it OK?

[edit]

SusunW I started this back in October and forgot it. Can you take a look and tell me what you think. Thanks, Buster Seven Talk 00:51, 28 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I think it needs sourcing. The lede is summary of information in bio and is not supposed to be cited nor contain any information which is not cited in the actual biography. As for her name, for women it is really difficult. I list the "other names" in the info box. I would not call this article "Elizabeth (Tracy) Montminy". Sources may do that, but it was not her name. Legally she was Elizabeth Tracy and the Tracy Montminy. The majority of sources show one of those two variants. She should be referred to by surname using whatever the appropriate surname was at the time. If you were looking for her school records and she attended school as Elizabeth Tracy, it is unlikely that the school would have any record of her later name. Let me play with it a bit. My main concern is that there may be hidden copyright violations that will be misconstrued and reported as plagiarism if and when the article goes into Mainspace. Like I said, my previous method of creating articles was open to my forgetfulness as to if it was the sources words or my own. I like the way you "collect" your re phrasings rather than the sources word choice. I didn't do that in the past and it led to problems which I do not want to repeat. Using your method I don't think they will but I created this article during "The Great Purge of Articles Written By the Infamous Plagiarist Buster7". I'm being dramatic and making light of it but it wasn't my best moment. Because another editor may be watching "my business", I have genuine concerns....Best, Buster Seven Talk 16:18, 28 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Buster7 Understood. I think I have re-written anything that might have been contentious. I am not sure of the source of the death date you used. Cannot find an obit???? The only source I find other than Hicks who says she made arrangements in 1990 for her estate two years prior to her death, is [1]. Find a grave is not usually considered a RS but with the Hicks reference to support it, we could use it, unless you have a better source for a June date? The tombstone clearly says October 23, 1992. I also put in authority control, default search, and categories. You want to try the summary in the lede? Remember, no citations. If it's not in the body, it cannot be in the lede. Buster7 I think, we should take her live. Do you want to do it or do you want me to? Name should be Tracy Montminy and then we need to do a redirect for Elizabeth Tracy. SusunW (talk) 16:26, 21 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Susun. I will take her live but I will have rewind and recap how we did it before. One of my "situations" is declining memory. I leave for work in a while so I'll do it tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully you will watch over me and correct any forgetfulness. Some days are better than others but eventually I will be able to handle it. Buster Seven Talk 18:32, 21 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
