Hello there! I just joined Wikipedia. Can anyone help me out?

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! You can find lots of information at the WP:WELCOME page, or you could try the WP:HELP page.
By the way, regarding File:EdwardCullen.jpg, I believe the rationale for using that file is the fair use doctrine in U.S. copyright law, which allows the use of copyrighted material without permission under certain very strictly limited circumstances, for the purposes of scholarship and review. Please see Wikipedia:Non-free content for more information. -- The Anome (talk) 17:33, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The part about Sugar Daddy Ken was moved to Ken (Barbie) as it had WP:TOPIC issues in Barbie, and was a digression from the subject. Superstar: The Karen Carpenter Story was re-added because it is one of the most famous and controversial Barbie parodies, and led to legal objections from The Carpenters. It is here on Google Video, but is not linked in the article for copyright reasons.

Also, when editing, please could you check spelling etc with the "Show preview" button, as the Revision history of Barbie shows quite a few edits that could have been avoided. Thanks.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 08:48, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

[edit]

It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Bratz. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. "You were..." vs "You Were..."

[edit]

I know and everyone one of her fans know the official title is "You were.../BALLAD". However, all Japanese music articles must follow the Japanese manual of style, as well as the the manual of style for all music releases. So do not move the article again per those guidelines I have linked for you. If you have any question leave a response here and I'll reply back when I see it. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tween (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

License tagging for File:Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse title.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse title.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 11:05, 18 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse title sequence.png)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse title sequence.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 05:09, 20 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Civility

[edit]

Hi, everybody gets frustrated with inexperienced users, bad-faith editors, and outright vandals. That doesn't, however, excuse editors from being civil in their warnings. While your recent warning to 24.56.202.32 may have been in response to clear disruption from that IP, cooler heads must prevail. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 23:25, 26 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Do you know if any reliable sources support Midge (Barbie) having the surname? Ranze (talk) 20:18, 1 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I found your comments there and I can only back your opinion. I came to the article after looking up the term fashion capital and having other rankings that are backed by high-profile personalities from the industry. Would you support a revamp of the list there? ► robomod 10:39, 27 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Kelly Roberts has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Sources provided (interviews, primary sources) do not establish notability per WP:BASIC.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 2 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
