Jalaledin Moayerian

[edit]

Hi there,

My article (Draft:Jalaledin Moayerian) is declined due to issue with the independent reliable source.

I am just wondering if the following sources / websites could be considered as reliable secondary sources. For your information the websites provided below are governed by official organizations and independent of the subject.

https://www.artmag.ir/en/jalaleddinmoayerian http://www.sourehcinema.com/People/People.aspx?id=138112210254 https://web.archive.org/web/20201108162006/https://www.fajrfilmfestival.com/news/1718/چهرههای-معیریان

Since this is my first article and I don't have enough experience so, for sure I need some advices by an experienced wikipedia auditor.

It would be highly appreciated if you could help me to fix the issue mentioned or introduce me an experienced wikipedia article writer to help me.

Thanks and best regards, --Aria Moayerian (talk) 17:15, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I know a user that is very experienced with sources, User: Robert McClenon. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.121.103.144 (talk) 20:01, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Heya, just wanted to let you know that your question is a super-good one, but not really one a single editor responding to a single {{help me}} can really (adequately) respond to. However, I do have a short essay (link) that explains some of the different types of references and which ones are good or "better" for a draft. When looking through your references, you should try to find as many "Type 3" references as you can, and make sure you remove any circular references (i.e. Wikipedia pages themselves).
I highly suggest you post your question at the Teahouse, a place where new editors can get advice and thoughts from other experienced editors. They should hopefully be able to guide you through the process of improving your draft and further looking into the references you're using in your draft. [edit]
Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Robert McClenon was: This submission is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: This draft has been Rejected by a reviewer in the Articles for Creation review process. DO NOT resubmit this draft or attempt to resubmit this draft or prepare or submit a draft that is substantially the same as this draft without discussing the reasons for the rejection. You may request a discussion with the rejecting reviewer, or you may request a discussion with the community at the Teahouse. A discussion will not necessarily agree to a resubmission.

It should be noted that the reviewer has not decided that the topic is not notable. An article on the topic may be accepted in the future. However, there is no reason to think that this draft will become an article, and there is evidence that this draft will never become an article. If there is to be an article on this topic, this draft must first be blown up and started over.

If this draft is resubmitted without discussion and without starting it over, or if an attempt is made to resubmit this draft or an equivalent draft, without addressing the reasons for the Rejection by starting over, a partial block or a topic-ban may be requested against the submitting editor.

You may ask for advice about Rejection at the Teahouse.

Please do not submit multiple copies of drafts. It does not increase the likelihood that one of them will be accepted into article space, and annoys the reviewers. It is likely to be seen as an effort to game the system, and may result in the drafts being nominated for deletion.

COI not a game-stopper

[edit]

Declaring COI is desired, but not doing it is not a reason the draft was declined so many times. If you decide to start fresh, I suggest not listing any movies or TV series. What is essential are references that are about Jalaledin Moayerian. Your problem is that content from your draft was copied into another draft. I suggest keep your User name, declare on your User page your connection (him being your uncle). To NoJudgement, ask of you can work on that draft. For transparency, explain on your User page and on the Jalal draft Talk page that there was another version - abandoned - that had been Declined, and then Rejected. THEN, delete the list of movies and the list of series, and focus only on having content based on references to articles written ABOUT JM. David notMD (talk) 20:52, 3 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot for your attention and your clear advices. I think it is better to ask user NoJudgment to stop working on this article and then I start it over by myself as per your guidelines. Aria Moayerian (talk) 01:55, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ideally, NoJudgment should agree to tag the Jalal draft to be deleted, so that there is no confusion once you start over. Remember that is essential to have at least three references to articles that are about him. The awards stuff should be kept (needs refs). And remember to state your COI on your User page. David notMD (talk) 01:49, 5 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks David! I will leave a message for NoJudgment to delete the draft and I hope he/she accepts my request. For sure I will follow your advices. Aria Moayerian (talk) 03:22, 5 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

to submit your draft

[edit]

at top, put subst:submit inside double curly brackets {{ }}. But first, for three refs, you have non-number information. Fix that. IT may take a while for a reviewer to take up this, as all refs are in Persian. Did you in fact take the photo of Jalaledin on 6 August 2021? Or on any date? If not, I recommend removing it, as its presence is probably a copyright infringement. David notMD (talk) 01:10, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your advices. I applied your all comments above. May I ask to have a quick review again before the submission. Your anticipated patience is highly appreciated. Aria Moayerian (talk) 02:03, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I did a bit more clean-up. Submit and see what happens. David notMD (talk) 10:31, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot for your kind attention. This is a great news for me!
May I ask what would be the next step or if I should do anything else. I just google this article and it doesn't bring up this article. May I ask the reason. Best regards, Aria Moayerian (talk) 18:04, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
There is a deliberate pause between when an article is accepted and it showing up in external search engines such as Google. There is a second set of reviewers - New Page Patrol - which gives articles a look. The reason for this is that in some instances an editor by-passed the Articles for Creation review, or got an approval despite serious flaws. The delay is until NPP signs off, or if NPP does not get to an article, then automatically in 90 days. David notMD (talk) 20:12, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Meanwhile, a bit of work on the English is needed. Think about a better way to phrase "caused the effective movements in makeup in the Iranian movie industry." and :teaches academic makeup to the young generations." David notMD (talk) 20:18, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
