Just wanted to let you know that I've just read User:Anameofmyveryown/Sandbox8 and agree with you on almost everything. —Nightstallion 15:05, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My reply here Anameofmyveryown (talk) 03:27, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Even I agree on the fact that article and template should be coherent to each other. That was indeed why I started to change it. I'm sorry for some mistakes that I did, but now we will finally have a template structured as the article is.

I would like to ask you if you can expand Union for Europe, Europe of Nations and Independents for a Europe of Nations by adding group members and update Independence/Democracy. Who better than you?

All the articles about European Parliament groups need to be wikified by following the Manual of Style, but this is secondary. --Checco (talk) 20:49, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My reply here Anameofmyveryown (talk) 23:39, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Everything is ok then. --Checco (talk) 07:33, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tahnk you: your work was great. I wouldn't put all these references everywhere and there is some need to wikify the articles by following the Manual of Style, but, as I said, your work was great. Thank you. --Checco (talk) 07:32, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

European Progressive Democrats

[edit]

In note 6 it is written that the Danish member of EDP came from the Progress Party, while you wrothe that it was from the Conservative People's Party. Can you check this point? --Checco (talk) 20:17, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Contradictory sources. The member in question is Kai Nyborg (entered in 1973, sat with the non-incrits, then joined EPD on 9.12.1974, became EPD vice-chair on 17.7.1979 and stayed until 23.7.1984). Nyborg's Europarl profile (europarl.europa.eu) has Nyborg as member of Det Konservative Folkeparti (Conservative people's Party). PACE (assembly.coe.int) has Nyborg as member of the Progressist party. Europe-Politique says Danish EPD member was FRP (Fremskridtspartiet?) and Fremskridspartiet's website (www.fremskridtspartiet.dk) mentions Nyborg, tho' I don't speak Danish well enough to tell in what capacity. Will chase further when I get back. Anameofmyveryown (talk) 19:10, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. No-one better than you can fix all these articles with members. --Checco (talk) 06:13, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Political Parties..?

[edit]

A (very) draft discussion on the policy on political parties has been started by me here - User:Doktorbuk/pp. If you can assist with this discussion, or know how to help me get this policy looked at, advanced, and accepted by the larger Wiki community, please let me know. Many thanks doktorb wordsdeeds 19:05, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Political groups in COR and PACE

[edit]

I would like you to see my posts at Talk:Committee of the Regions#European Alliance and Talk:European Democrats#European Democratic Group respectively. --Checco (talk) 14:16, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

One of the texts mentiones EFA as "European Free Alliance – Democratic Party of the Peoples of Europe (EFA–DPPE)" -- but EFA-DPPE doesn't turn up yet *anywhere* on Wikipedia, even though it was apparently the name of the regionalist group in the EP at some point...? Help? —Nightstallion 07:49, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Constituencies

[edit]

Because I was off so much I totally missed all the work you did on them. Just found them and bloody hell that must have taken you a while, I don't know where you get all the information you keep finding either. Good work, and thanks! - J Logan t: 13:28, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

UKIP question

[edit]

My word, that is a tricky one! I guess the small membership of IND/DEM and UKIP's rather wayward conservatism has skewed the results. I think, if you can manually amend the image, the borderline OR issues could be explained by use of the apparant anomoly but I think to make things easier your third suggestion is probably best. A bit clumsy but better than than OR, eh? Very interesting links, though, I may study that further! doktorb wordsdeeds 17:26, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

my reply here Anameofmyveryown (talk) 00:53, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Of course, right, the analysis /is/ the figure, they can't skew the results. Then maybe your theory about them not being able to "sell themselves", if you will, within the EP is a reason? I will look around for anything like the information you require, there may be something around. And yeah, the WP:OR border-line is a bit close, side-step to the left...or, you know, right....=)doktorb wordsdeeds 16:58, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Flagging Cmed for further review

[edit]

Hello, Anameofmyveryown … I recently encountered the article about Cmed and in my opinion, it either lacks sufficient Attribution that it satisfies the Notability criteria for Organizations and companies, or it may violate the Conflict of interest guideline, or perhaps it violates a copyright.

I am considering tagging Cmed (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) for deletion according to the Deletion policy … I do not have time to examine the article in depth at the moment, and it may improve over time, in which case this warning was premature.

I have created this initial entry on your Talk page because you are either the original author of the article, or else a recent contributor to it; I will leave more detailed information regarding my specific concerns about the article on its Discussion page … please respond either there or on this Talk page, instead of on my Talk page, in order to avoid fragmenting the conversation.

Be sure to read Ownership of articles, and remember that Some Other Editors (including at least one administrator) may not share your opinion about the notability of the article's subject.

I do not mean to imply that your contribution is unappreciated … perhaps you should read Your first article … and remember, there was a time when I knew less about how Wikipedia works than you know right now, and I am always available to help you become a more proactive contributor.

To better understand why I have used this template, please read Flag templates for deletion warnings ... I realize that some of the expressed possible concerns may not be appropriate in this case. —triwbe (talk) 15:59, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that you created the original (indeed, the only) "area preparations" map for Hurricane Dean. I was wondering whether you could extend it to include preparations on Mexico's Gulf coast, namely the states of Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Tabasco and Campeche. I am polishing the article, and a completed version of this image would help tremendously. Plasticup T/C 19:19, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

European political foundation"

[edit]

Thanks for the addition to Declan Ganley. Can you add more on the meaning of European political foundation" or is it one in the same as a Euro party? Opiumjones 23 (talk) 17:29, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Do you know what the scope of funding and conditions from the EU that would apply? If you have no sources perhaps you can answer on my talk page for my own info . Thanks in advance; Opiumjones 23 (talk) 17:32, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry first I will read the sources . Thanks for adding this very interesting and important info. Opiumjones 23 (talk) 17:34, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My reply here Anameofmyveryown (talk) 20:00, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for going to the trouble of giving such a coprehensive breakdown. I will post a link to it from Declan Ganley talk page. Yes a very interesting subject, his biog what I can un earth of it reads like a Le Carre novel. Interesting times indeed. Pity his former associates Liam Lawlor and Kosta Trebicka will miss out on the fun. Opiumjones 23 (talk) 20:25, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Anameofmyveryown. I'm glad to see your participation at DYK, and wanted to let you know that the article met the criteria for a , so I marked it as such. The article should get to the wikipedia Main page within a few days. You'll receive a notification from another DYK volunteer at that time. Keep up the good work, and I hope to see you at DYK with another article in the not too distant future. Cheers, --Rosiestep (talk) 04:25, 8 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
