While I appreciate your efforts here, you must understand that your approach is not in keeping with how we deal with these things on Wikipedia. We don't use a series' fiction/setting to define our approach to a subject—the so-called in-universe style—we use established real-world concepts, in this case when a product was released and what subseries it falls into. Categorisation by subseries is considered far preferable to trying to shoehorn it into what we may personally think fits arbitrary labels based on the setting.

Just that alone should have bypassed the other issue, but I will explain that here too. Despite your assumptions, Fall of the Samurai is considered to be a standalone expansion pack for Shogun 2. The concept is not new, its been around for decades (see here). This is easily verifiable in secondary sources, sources which Wikipedia is built around; the following is a mere top-of-the-list snippet of the sources that directly call it an expansion: [1] [2] [3]. As such, it should be grouped with Shogun 2. Both Medieval 2's expansion Kingdoms and Alexander are both standalone, Yes, Alexander may not have anything much to do with the actual Roman Empire. But it is an expansion to Rome: Total War and should likewise be grouped with it, not because it has an ancient world setting, but because it was developed, sold and reviewed as an expansion for that game. The same is true for the Fall of the Samurai.

I hope this clears up the issue. If it does not or you wish to further push the issue, I can easily ask for a third opinion from the Video games Wikiproject. -- Sabre (talk) 00:09, 1 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Non-Playable Factions in Rome II

[edit]

Hello Ambrosius. I saw that you removed the non-playable factions list from the Total War: Rome II article page, and the reason you gave was that too many factions were in the wrong cultural group. While I would like to point out that the Iberian and British faction groups were without fault, I would greatly appreciate your help in reorganizing the list. I undid your revision for now, but I agree with you in principle. So any help would be great. Cheers! Italia2006 (talk) 15:06, 26 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
