Wikipedia’s webpage for Norway is lengthy but it still needs some touches. One possible is the audio player for the nation’s anthem is using an odd version of Java and there are bugs attached to using it and compromising the security of the user. I also noticed in the first part of the Norway’s Wikipedia page has a missing citation and the source is ‘CIA list of facts’ for a source, which is available to anyone with internet access but the rest of the webpage is very well made up of the nation’s facts. The Wikipedia page for Norway is very informative and provides a detail description of what Norway is about from politics to economics to culture and history. Each of the Norway’s Wikipedia page sections are divided by culture, History, etymology and other areas, and further subdivided with subcategories that are filled with facts. The webpage looks like it has been maintain very well with edits from variety of people. Some of the sections are not enough such the “health” section. While other sections, such as economics, have multiple subsections and provided more Wikipedia links to more information.
The transitions are mostly smooth when it goes from one section to other such the “Etymology and History.” The next section of the Norway’s Wikipedia’s page is the geographic aspect and it includes satellite image and pictures of the nation’s famous fjords. And someone is not familiar with what a fjord is they can click on the word and they will find what it is and why the nation of Norway is famous for having so many of them. The geographic section includes “climate, biodiversity and environment”. In this section there are illustrations of what a “midnight sun” is and there easy access to the article in Wikipedia with pictures and explanations to why its call that in Norway.

So each of the 19 counties of the Norway has its own Wikipedia webpage filled with information about that area of the country along with a highlighted location area in the nation’s map when accessing that county’s information from Wikipedia. The next section of Norway’s Wikipedia page is “health” and includes statics about the health of the nation and how is rank against other nations in the world. Norway is rank first according the United Nations Development Programme and its Human Development Report 2013. This area of the Wikipedia page is less detail than other parts of the webpage but has informative data and how healthy the nation is in comparison to other nations of the world. This area may use some more updating? The Economy section of Norway’s Wikipedia page is more extensive and includes more details such as statically information on how the nation faring. Norway economy is mostly constructed around petroleum and gas, and the revenues it brings. According to the page, the nation’s economy has a 33% of the overall economy and 24% petroleum gases makes other part of the economy when added together it makes up more than half of Norway’s overall economy. Why? The final section of Norway’s Wikipedia webpage is made of the culture and consists of “Cinema, Music, Literature, Research, Architecture, Art, Cuisine, [and] Sports.” In this area has a lot to offer but there is much more missing from the Norway’s culture heritage, but there are links providing the reader with more information of the Norway’s culture. And most of the subsections of the Culture have further Wikipedia pages links such as literature and its link to “Norwegian literature” and “List of Norwegian writers” while briefly mentioning the most famous of them in the Norway’s Wikipedia webpage and providing access to further reading on top of the subsection. Sports, Cuisine, Architecture, Music, Cinema and overall culture have Norwegian links to other Wikipedia pages but the general and mostly famously known culture characters are briefly mention in the Norway’s Wikipedia webpage. In conclusion, I like reading about Norway and it has lots more to offer than what people have been posting on the Wikipedia webpage for Norway. In browsing through countries Wikipedia webpages I noticed that each webpage takes pride in their culture and history of a country. I also include the United States in this area because the webpage includes culture, economic, culture and history. In reviewing the Norway Wikipedia webpage I noticed that it had more to offer in this aspect even though it was not bragging it about within the webpage itself. But prided show itself in the way and how much effort people put into the Wikipedia sections and subsections and the data they provided.
