Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page List of districts of Haryana has been reverted.
Your edit here to List of districts of Haryana was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links in references which are discouraged per our reliable sources guideline. The reference(s) you added or changed (https://www.censusindia.co.in/subdistrict/badhra-tehsil-bhiwani-hariyana-403) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, please ignore this notice.

Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Khagrachhari District. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 06:22, 28 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did with this edit to Rangamati Hill District. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 06:23, 28 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Adding reference to Wikipedia articles

[edit]
Just follow the steps as shown, and fill in the details

Hello 222.164.212.168! Please do not forget to add references from reliable sources for the content you add to Wikipedia. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Adding well-formatted references is easy.

  1. While editing any article or a wikipage, on the top of the edit window you will see a toolbar which says "cite". Click on it.
  2. Then click on "templates".
  3. Choose the most appropriate template and then fill all relevant details.

This will add a well-formatted reference, which will allow other people to see where you got your information from. You can read more about this at Help:Edit toolbar, or watch this video: File:RefTools.ogv. Thanks and regards. —DBigXray 14:48, 4 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit here to Asigarh Fort was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://haryanaheritage.blogspot.com/2013/) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, fansite, or similar site (see 'Links to avoid', #11), then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it.

Thanks or pointing out.

Hi Cedric White,
1. Please justify how was my edit unconstructive?
2. If your objection was that it was unsourced, then there are many unsourced sections within the Doctor of Medicine. Either remove those pre-existing unsourced sections first or let my edit remain in there. Either way, apply the criteria/rules i.e. remove all unsourced content before removing my edit or retain my edit in the article.
3. Plese be very careful in using automated tools to revert works of others as it "wastes productive time" in dicussions/undoing/redoing while causing avoidable unpleasantness.
4. If you believe you made a mistake then please resotre my edits. Thanks. 222.164.212.168 (talk) 11:20, 1 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Cedric White. FYI, my edits to Doctor of Medicine are copied and condensed from the pre-existing unsourced edits to Medical_college_in_India#Postgraduate_courses where they have surived for a long time. 222.164.212.168 (talk) 13:16, 1 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Fylindfotberserk, I had added sourced material to the previously unsourced sections, which is in any case is an improvement over what was prior to my edits. Please apply your review criteria consistently and pragmatically in such a way that it takes the article forward in a collaborative manner. You are welcome to further rephrase my edits instead of simply reverting. Because, the blanket reverts take the article backwards by perepetually keeping it unsourced, moreover why have you kept the unsouced text there because my edits were at least sourced? Please refrain from the inconsistent application of criteria and reverts based on such inconsistent criteria. Such reverts accompanied by such messages on my talkpage also discourage the "incremental mutually collaborative" approach. Please either restore my edits, or please feel free to rephrase those i.e. show pragmatic intent to collaborate. Thank you. 222.164.212.168 (talk) 15:20, 4 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

1) Your source doesn't support this

Ambala Army Cantonment Base is currently the headquarters of II Corps (India) (raised in 1970, formation sign Kharga) and an important forward Indian Air Force base. It played an important role during the 1965 and 1971 war between India and Pakistan. Ambala Air Force Station is adjacent to the Army Cantonment. It has several colonial bungalows and wide tree-lined roads, typical of British cantonments in the subcontinent. It also gets a mention in the Rudyard Kipling book Kim

Fylindfotberserk: I did not insert this material. I had simply moved this pre-existing unsourced material from one section to another as part of reorganizing the text differently. 222.164.212.168 (talk) 18:00, 4 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

2) Where did you find this

Oral tradition avers that the city is named after the hindu feale deity Amba, whose temple built by the Pandavas of Mahabharata of [[[Vedia era]] still exists in Ambala city

in your source? That's original research.

222.164.212.168 (talk) 18:00, 4 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Fylindfotberserk: Simply insert the not supported by citation tag, and wait for editors to supply the citation. There is no need to throw the baby with bath water by reverting the whole thing. In case you have further interest in this topic you could additionally strat a discussion on the article talk page. FYI, Ambala is only 41 km or 12 Kos from Kurukshetra - the land Pandavas. Ambala is within 48 kos parikrama of Kurukshetra (see also Amba (Mahabharata)). Hence, that unsupported statement you pointed out is highly plausible, best to insert tag to ask for citation. 222.164.212.168 (talk) 18:09, 4 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Do not mix sourced and unsourced content. Keep the unsourced content separate. Delete it or leave it with a [cn] tag. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 15:51, 4 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Fylindfotberserk: Do not just revert. Revert is like the gun in a cop's hand. BRD/revert should be used as last resort in case of deadlock or deliberate vandalism. BRD/revert is a gun which cops/editors can not use in Dirty Harry (character) style. Editors have to first try to collaborate, enhance eachother's edits and take more pragmatic approach. Out of several edits, you pointed only one valid minor issue i.e. one sentence unsupported by the citation. And, you decided to throw out the baby with the bath water by reverting everything? Instead of reverts, please use tags like not supported in citation or provide more relibale citation. Be more consistent in applying review criteria to the whole article and to all editors of that article, be fair, collaborative, more humble and friendlier. It would have taken you lot less time to collaborate with me on that article by inserting not supported by the citation tag (give them a chance to find citation) instead of tagging other editors with antagonising things (such as "OR", "synthesis", etc) only to take the the article back to the unsourced state. This does not come across good. It comes across that you are doing similar type of multiple things which are you are asking me not to do. I am happy to learn from this experience but please show me the same humility, willingness to learn and collaborate. For now restore my edits, insert the appropriate tags and feel free to remove items not supported by citations (or add the tag for me/others to find citations later). We should be spending more time on the article, not here. Thanks. 222.164.212.168 (talk) 18:00, 4 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
If you want to contribute, do it properly. Mixing sourced and unsourced content together messes up the things much more. Moreover you have added enough "synthesis" to warrant a revert. I've large number of pages in my watchlist so I don't have enough time to check each and every sentence and to tag unsourced content or "OR" content. I however checked and modified your edits on the Ambala city article. As for this article, I'm removing notable peoples and etymology which are not relevant here. You can add other things supported by your source but remember not to synthesize. And do not add Mythology. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 18:55, 4 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Fylindfotberserk: You keep bringing things that I have not done (as in a violaiton). Among all of the things you have said, only one of your assertion is correct (one unsupported statement, which you could have easily dealt with by inserting a tag asking for citation). "Prominent people" section which I created, is again not the "new text introduced by me". I simply moved the pre-existing text and put it under another heading. If you are playing the role of a reviewer, then please take time to properly review and not keep jumping the gun. If you have too many article to watch, then trim your list. Do a good job with less number of articles, instead of doing a shoddy "jump the gun" job with many articles, which also anatagonises other editors as well as wastes too much time of all stakeholders. You seem to be stressed because of this. Please look after yourself first and take time out away from wikipedia. Please practice what you preach (pointing out others mistake is okay, please start fixing yours too), be more selective in watching the pages, be more thorough and consistent in your review (put more effort/time in each review to ensure things you point out to others actually hold up). Thank you for finally collaborating with me on Ambala article. I will take note of your suggesstions too. Hope you pay heed to mine as well. Whatever you do, please try to do it in a way which is pleasant to all. There are no bosses on wikipedia, including those with tools (tools do not give an editor superior rights over an IP). We all are equal on wikipedia, let us all reflect this in our attitude. Thank you. 222.164.212.168 (talk) 19:10, 4 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • I don't understand why you have to lengthen this discussion so much. As I said, you add "original research", it gets reverted. By me or by some other editor. Adding Mythology is a big no-no without right sources. I told you to re-add some of your edits back that are sourced. But now you have deleted things that are sourced or otherwise have Wikipedia articles e.g. Census data, Indian Army and Airforce Base, European Cemetery, etc. Add those back.
  • Etymology and Notable people section are not relevant here. I know you have sorted them but those things should be in the Ambala city article.
  • And I didn't warn or comment on your Ambala article edits where you have put a lot of "original researches" e.g the following text is not in the source.

Nada Sahib (named after Nada Shah who was a deciple of Guru Govind Singh, 2 km south east of Panchkula), Lakhnaur Sahib (native place of Mata Gujri mother of Guru Goivind Singh, has a charpai belonging to Guru Govind Singh, 6 kilometres south of Ambala), Panjokhra Sahib (visited by the 8th guru of Sikhs Guru Har Krishan, 8 km east of Ambala) and Haryoli (temple of Rishis Markandeya hold an annul fair in September-COtober where he meditated to lord Shiva at the age of 12, located 15 km to southeast of Ambala Cantt) are the popular ancient religious sites.[2]

as well as the mention of "Tomara Rajputs" and the "time periods" which are all syntheses. Other editors are not hear to cleanup all the mess everytime.
Fylindfotberserk: If you have issues, list them all in one go. Do not keep adding more once you lose arguments, because you are doing a very shoddy job of reviewing in very inconsistent way. This comes across as arrogance. Simply because you have some tools. You came to my talkpage to slap this and that, I have never visisted your talkpage me. You are the one who come across who likes to preach to others but feels he is above the wikipedia rules. Going by your confession above, you have subscribed to more articls than you can do justice to, which is making you ineffective (to the extent of being disruptive and non-collaborstive to other editors) and stressed (which comes across as frustrated and arrogant person acting like a dirty harry cop). I can run a list of all your edits and find 100 times more flaws in your edits, such tricks are useless. Better stick to the topic at hand in a constructive manner, just make separate discussion on each article talk page you find issues with. Stop stalking/harassing me. Stop holier than thou attitude. Please be humble enough to accept things you need to improve as well. If you have no time to review others articles properly, then stop killing otheres edits, just unscibcribe pages to a manageable list. If you have no time to read replies then do not leave "jump the gin" kind of comments on others talk page. I wanted to see from you that you are willing to be flexible and open to adopt to rules. Please start demonstrating it. 222.164.212.168 (talk) 13:42, 5 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rewari

[edit]

Please stop linking to All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rewari. First, I suggest writing the article first. Second, this is way to early. The institute was only announced and it may take years until it operates. See All India Institutes of Medical Sciences for further information and examples. For example AIIMS Gorakhpur was announced in 2014 and still does not operate and has no article. I am not saying that it because other articles don't exist, I am saying that an institute which was just announced fails the general notability guidelines. Maybe in a few months it will be notable. --Muhandes (talk) 11:04, 5 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Muhandes, thanks for informing me.
Summary: I disagree with omission of my edit because seems you might have made an error of judgment as the draft article already exists and it as an entity also already exists legally (no longer a future event). Please reinstate my edits.
Details:
1. I had already created a daft aritcle first before listing it in the list of institutes. Please click the redlink and then click the blue link to access the pre-existing draft of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rewari. It is supported by the verifible independent naitonal newspapers citations, and it is of widespread interest to several northern states.
2. Let us not confuse the "announcement" (e.g. speculation, presumption, people's demand, politician's empty promise) vs "physical infrastructure" vs "legal existence" (courts, UN and most nations honor/accept this legal basis). The institute was announced several years ago. It was legally approved recently i.e. the institute now exists legally (can operate, lend, borrow, hire, fire, constuct, rent, or run virtually, etc), not a speculation or politician's vote-fetching empty promise, which settles the argument. If something exists in law, please retain those edits. You can add a note/caveat to clarify specisl considerations, like you have done for some other articles with the use of special characters as legends/footnotes.
3. You mentioned WP:CRYSTAL to reject my edit. Please read carefully what WP:CRYSTAL says below, and then re-read point-1&2 above. You will notice that my edits did not violate WP:CRYSTAL. Rather, WP:CRYSTAL supports my edits and it refutes your reasons to reject my edits. "Wikipedia is not a collection of unverifiable speculation or presumptions. Wikipedia does not predict the future. All articles about anticipated events must be verifiable, and the subject matter must be of sufficiently wide interest that it would merit an article if the event had already occurred. It is appropriate to report discussion and arguments about the prospects for success of future proposals and projects or whether some development will occur, if discussion is properly referenced."
4 I like to believe that you probably would have accepted my edit, only if you had clicked on the draft article redlink. Please reintroduce my edits (if you wish, with footnotes). Please all future edits that exist in the law. Will be a great help, if you can please, also review/approve my draft article on All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rewari. Thanks. 14:56, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
I obviously saw your draft and even edited it before I wrote any of this. You may notice my comment on the talk page. I obviously looked at the sources and I disagree that they satisfy the general notability requirements. Legal statue has never been a source for notability. This is not just about the Rewari institute, it applies to all 13 proposed AIIMSs. Once an institute starts operation, WP:SCHOOLOUTCOMES may apply, although that is not an argument to keep an article either. Anyway, all this has nothing to do with WP:WTAF. If/once the article is accepted, it can/will be linked. --Muhandes (talk) 12:40, 6 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Muhandes. Which one of the 5 bullted general notability requirements is not met (to me, all have been met)? 222.164.212.168 (talk) 10:15, 7 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The first. --Muhandes (talk) 18:54, 7 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Heo Hwang-ok, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Heo Hwang-ok is a legend, not a historical person, and there's absolutely no proof for her having ever existed.Tom | Thomas.W talk 15:34, 22 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thomas.W changes to lede already pre-exists in the article. Please do not revert all edits, instead retain good edits (piping, sourced edit) and improve. 222.164.212.168 (talk) 15:44, 22 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, not a fanblog, so everything that is added must be sourced, and the article can only say what the sources say. The year of birth you added has been removed, since the only one of the three sources for it that you added that is verifiable, the short blurb at BBC.com, does not mention any year of birth! - Tom | Thomas.W talk 18:07, 22 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thomas.W "married the king in the year 48 CE at her age of 16 years.[1][2]", apply reasonable commonsense, e.g. see "the accuracy and applicability of which is easily verifiable by any reasonable, educated person". 222.164.212.168 (talk) 18:20, 22 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The first source is a Korean book that isn't verifiable, and the second source has no mention of Heo Hwang-ok, anyone being sixteen years old or anyone marrying in 48AD, making me believe that you haven't checked the sources you've added. - Tom | Thomas.W talk 18:31, 22 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thomas.W You can instead use this, page2, para2. I noticed, you already made change. Also, avoid pushing own contntious unsourced POV, e.g. "legend" or "claied to be". "Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, not a fanblog, so everything that is added must be sourced". Practice what you preach.222.164.212.168 (talk) 19:07, 22 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
We do not present legend as fact. Period. There is absolutely nothing that supports that Heo Hwang-ok was a real historical person, and there's even less that supports that she came from India (that claim is based only on a single individual in Korea feeling that "Ayodhya" sounds a bit like "Ayotha"...). So the article should clearly state that it is a legend, not present it as a historical fact. - Tom | Thomas.W talk 19:16, 22 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Misreprsentation of sources

[edit]

Hello, I happened to stumble upon some of your edits, and found several instances where you've grossly mispresented sources (not to mention the poor quality of sources). Some examples:

  • Here you claimed that "Sultan Nasir ud din Mahmud ... plundered Pinjore and destroyed Hindu temples in 1254 CE". The source cited by you only states "At the beginning of this year victories and spoils were gained in the vicinity of the mountains of Bardar and Pinjor".
  • In same edit, you added the claim that "Pinjore was once again plundered and hindu temples destroyed by the musli [sic] forces of Timur". The source that you cited doesn't mention the word "Hindu temples" in this context: all it says is "The place was again plundered in A.D. 1399 by Timur on his way back from Delhi"
  • Here you added the claim that the "Akharas [...] evolved into the fighting martial akharas likely as a reaction to the harsh and brutal treatment of Hindus by the Muslim Rulers", citing pg. 127 of Mark Tully's No Full Stops in India as your source. The source doesn't mention anything like this.

Plus, there are several instances when you've copy-pasted content from one article to another without actually checking the sources (or bothering about the relevance of the content to the new article. E.g. here you copy-pasted a lot of sources from Madja-as and Srivijayan and Madjapahit cultural influences in early Philippine polities to San Dionisio, Iloilo: these sources do not even mention San Dionisio, and it is quite obvious that you haven't read these sources. Same goes for Mount Diwata, where you copied a lot of sources from Laguna Copperplate Inscription: you obviously did not read the sources, but you used them as references for several new sentences meant to support your POV, although these sources do not support these sentences. This behaviour is not right, as already discussed earlier when you were editing from another StarHub Cable IP address (202.156.182.84).

Several of your poor edits seem to have gone unnoticed, because many others only check that you're adding sources without verifying whether those sources actually support the content that you're adding.

You have already been given several warnings about addition of unsourced content and original research above (and at User talk:202.156.182.84). If you continue this behavior, you will end up getting blocked notwithstanding the other good contributions you have made. utcursch | talk 01:34, 23 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Aranya. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. This is not vandalism, current headings are uselessly vague. I have made reedits. I also left a note on your talkpage. We both were editign at same time. My message did not say it is vandalism. It referred to the neutrality and tone of the edited content. Additionally, using reverts and warnings can absolutely be part of a collaborative approach to improving articles. It seems we have reached a local consensus on the content at this time, so the matter is closed. Best regards and happy editing.—Aranya (talk) 17:23, 29 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Aranya Thanks for the collaboration. I will update that article later, help me, dont have to repost here, just rephrase what you think it unbiased, "do not make it nutral", harsh uncomfortable facts go in. Thanks you. 222.164.212.168 (talk) 12:06, 30 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Aranya: I had not seen your first advisory with blue "BLUE i" label because I was still editing that article, and within 2 minutes you left another message as warning with "RED i" label. I have not had the chance to see advistory, but as soon as I saw both yoru messages together after few more minutes, the matter was resolved immediately. Usually there should be ample time gap between advisory and warning to allow the recipient sufficient time to read, react and correct before issuing a hasty warning. Sicne I had not had chance to see advisory, both were issued in quick succession and I understand why it happened so no problem, and matter was immediately resolved, so I ask you to please withdraw/retract your warning. Thanks for the understanding. I will try to add mroe content to that article later, I will tag you for you to review, so as to avoid any future editorial differences. I feel that article is incomplete, could be rephrased more crisply, etc, I will further work on it, please keep revisiting that oen to review/enhgance my work. Thanks. Beastranger (talk · contribs), I had previously edited and enhanced Divisions of Haryana article, bulk of work is mine. Anyway, in what way do you find my new edits disruptive? You have not provided any specifics. I just finished editing after spending hours, and you reverted within a minute or two, which makes me think you jumpedd the gun and might not have even properly reviewed the edits. Also refrain from issuing warnings with vague reasons (specially when yuou have not spent sufficient time to properly review the edits and have no actionable specifics/corrective measures), and issue an advisory first. Thanks. 222.164.212.168 (talk) 09:41, 16 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings. I extend my apologies for reverting your edit as I reverted this one where the opening sentence ("This article covers the political and administrative divisions of Haryana as well as the Regions of Haryana based on language and ethnicity") does not match with Wikipedia's encyclopedic tone. Your first edit significantly improves the article whereas your second one doesn't.
I used twinkle to revert your first edit but as you mentioned in my talk page, I didn't as you say "Jumped the gun" since the script reverts any consecutive edits made by the target IP and restores the version that IP didn't work on. So the edit was a accidental revert and I extended my apologies. I do not discriminate any Wikipedia user be it an SYSOP or an IP user since every edit improves Wikipedia. Dear Beastranger (talk · contribs),
Thanks you for the response, for reverting the accidental warning as well as for explainign how the automated tool twinkle works (good to know if similar situation arises with someone else). I have left a follow up response on your talkpage as well for the closure.
I did consider the following:
Reamining IP (PROS: less wiki addiction, less notifications, more peace, more "real life". CONS: sometimes being treated as second class editor, less privacy due to IP address)
vs
Becoming Registerted User (PROS: More tools and automation of tasks, recognition an d better treartment from fellow editors, more privacy as IUP address is masked by the regiustered account. CONS: one more app means more notifications and less real life, notifications make it harder to disentangle/walk away from editorial disagreements, more wiki addiction, etc).
Personal tradeoff: For now sticking with being IP to maintain a reasonable distance from wikipedia while still be able to contribute.
Regarding Divisions of Haryana: Thanks for your enhancements to my edits. I have created a discussion on the talk page of that article, so we can benefit from the input from other editors too, please rejoin me there to continue our collaboration. 222.164.212.168 (talk) 04:22, 17 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

:) Sometimes I am tempted to, but I have resisted for these reasons, easier to walk away and/or emotionally distance from wikipedia and editorial disputes, happy editing obscure articles that hardly anyone cared for previously (instead of getting entangled with contentious articles), editing only for leisure/hobby and not for championing ideology/causes/agenda, etc. 222.164.212.168 (talk) 05:44, 19 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
a name allows you to get a LOT more respect. Rjensen (talk) 05:50, 19 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
True. I will slowly try to ease into it with time. Instead of lone ranging, I will start inviting slected 2 or 3 editors (whom I feel comfortable with) to help me build articles. :) 222.164.212.168 (talk) 06:00, 19 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Lets collaborate

[edit]
Dear Beastranger (talk · contribs) and Fylindfotberserk (talk · contribs),
1. I have just created The Establishment (Pakistan) which feeds in to the "Global" The Establishment article. Global article has too many nations in it, can accomodate only a short summary of Pakistan. Hence, a separate article was needed for Pakistan. The newly created article is my first cut. Still messy and incomplete. I will continue to refine further. Meanwhile please add it to your watchlist and help in finetuning it. I might get busy elsewhere during the weekend, surely will come to it during the week.
2. Also add Political families of Haryana and protect Criticism of dynastic political clans of Haryana (I wrote this section, needs more supporting citations, etc) and have expanded the list of dynasts with citations after days of research. Since elections are on in Haryana, please watch against people disgustingly embellishing/glorifying dynasties or diluting/deleting dynasties' mutual connections/networking (Aapsi Mili Bhagat).
3. With the addition of Divisions of Haryana, this makes it 3 articles I wish to collaborate with you to make those more robust.
Thanks. 222.164.212.168 (talk) 08:55, 19 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Nice work there @The Establishment (Pakistan). - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 09:09, 19 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Once we mature @The Establishment (Pakistan) article, we might migrate some of the content to the "currently protected" (hence I cant edit it easily) Pakistan and state-sponsored terrorism. Within the The Establishment (Pakistan) article we could keep the text "limited/related" to the "nonstate actors", where as Pakistan and state-sponsored terrorism has much wider scope, that is how I see it.
PS: How about this, read this too "yo bi chokha likha s tere bhai ne", I'm sure you would love it. hahaha 222.164.212.168 (talk) 09:22, 19 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
"Ghana chokha banaa yo article" - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 15:00, 19 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the ping. I added the templates where you mentioned and further insert templates (you can see here) instead of text. Regards Beastranger (talk) 12:11, 19 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

More articles: pls review and add to your watch list (31 Oct)

[edit]

Dear Beastranger (talk · contribs) and Fylindfotberserk (talk · contribs),

I have edited the following, please review and add the main (and related) articles to your watchlist, since I am not always around.

  • List_of_active_separatist_movements_in_Asia#Malaysia and Terrorism in Malaysia (still need to add a section on state sponsored terrorism e.g. Moro Muslim insurgency in Mindanao in Southern Philippines, and include support for the designated terrorist Zakir Nailk): I will write a separate article on it along the lines of article on Trukey above, as well as Human Rights, Palm Oil Industry, Persecution of Chinese/Indian minority ethnicity as well as institutionalised discrimination of non-muslims (Chinese Buddhist and Christians and Indian Hindus/Sikhs) and non-Sunni Muslims (shia and Ahmadiya), Constitutional Regional discrimination against Sabah and Sarawak regions/states,

Thanks. 222.164.212.168 (talk) 15:16, 31 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to List of think tanks in India appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. GermanJoe (talk) 07:13, 29 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Dear GermanJoe,
Thanks for informing me. Indian government has the formal elite classification in the following decreasing order (I have added the "list of these organisations" in the "see also" section of the article):
A. Institutes of Eminence,
B. Institutes of National Importance,
C. Autonomous Institutes.
All the institutes I have added, they fall under these 3 official elite categories. For example, Please note that those think tanks based within "O.P. Jindal University" or "Kurukshetra University" are notable by virtue of these university being on the official list of the "Institute of eminence" (top level formal classification by the government). Similarly Ashoka University is also one of notable Private and Autonomous university, "autonomus" university status is another elite institute classification by the government of India.
Please feel free to remove the rows you think are not notable if they are not part of elite organisations. Please retain the formatting and additional information I have added, i.e. table, additional columns for information on the existing notable entries, see also section, etc. I have left the similar message on the article talk page click here to preempt/address potential similar concerns from other editors in the future. Thanks. 222.164.212.168 (talk) 07:42, 29 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, thank you for the information. I greatly appreciate your structural improvements and cleanup of the list format, but "notability" on Wikipedia has a specific meaning (see also WP:GNG). I will answer in more detail on the list's talkpage to avoid fragmenting the discussion. GermanJoe (talk) 08:10, 29 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Okay thanks GermanJoe. See you on article talk page. 222.164.212.168 (talk) 08:26, 30 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
