Request reason:

Caught by an open proxy block but this host or IP is not an open proxy. My IP address is 204.2.36.253. 204.2.36.253 (talk) 00:45, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Accept reason:

I've unblocked the IP range. It may have been reallocated, so I guess it's worth seeing what kinds of edits happen here now. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 01:59, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

NinjaRobotPirate, I don't know what the range was, but you may want to check it again. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 23:26, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I blocked Special:Contributions/204.2.36.0/24 as a proxy in 2023. It was being used by sock puppets. If it's just some random disruption or maybe even vandalism, normal anon-only blocks would probably be fine. I guess I was curious to see if more socks and spammers would flock to the IP range. It seems they haven't. I just ran a CU, and it's pretty clear of disruption outside of this IP editor. If more socks and spammers appeared here, I'd probably hard block it again. Request reason:

i understand i was editing disruptively. if i get unblocked, i will not vandalize the article namespace and i will make sure my edits are good.

Decline reason:

We extended good faith less than a month ago and were met with blatant vandalism. I think ScottishFinnishRadish is being very kind, blocking for only a month. Yamla (talk) 11:47, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know why you pinged me specifically, but I agree with my fellow administrators that the block should remain. -- Amanda (she/her) 05:44, 26 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I was blocked for "disrutive editing". It appears that this refers to this edit by me. However, the policy defining vandalism specifically excludes "making bold edits" intended to improve Wikipedia, as I did in this instance. Because the action for which I was blocked was therefore not disruption as described in the blocking policy, I request to be unblocked.@AmandaNP:204.2.36.253 (talk) 22:42, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

From your first appeal: "i understand i was editing disruptively". From your second appeal: "i understand i was editing disruptively" Now we get something along the lines of "My edits weren't disruptive, just bold"! So which is it? Answer: It doesn't matter as, even if your Megalopolis edit was bold, this IP should be blocked from the editing for the forseeable future due to the oversighted edit on April 15th. No thank you. Good block. You are significantly disruptive. At best, WP:CIR applies. Yamla (talk) 10:14, 30 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
