Mark Boyle (Moneyless Man)

[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you restored the quotes section - I'd removed it because it breaches WP:QUOTEFARM and WP:LONGQUOTE. Autarch (talk) 21:25, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, most of those quotes were added to that page years ago and are now also found in translation in different language versions of Boyle's Wikipedia page. I did add a few more though. Please look at the history of the page if you can. The rest are there so I can also use them as sources while I update the page. I'm not done yet and I'd like to keep them there even after I'm done to match the other versions of the page. I might also add some other quotes from Boyle that are also interesting. Thanks for reading--109.79.30.209 (talk) 22:00, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, there's some advice on indentation on talk pages in this link: Help:Using talk pages § Indentation. Regarding the quotes - unfortunately, the fact that those quotes were there for years doesn't mean they don't breach those policies. Looking at the six pages in different languages, just the Portuguese wiki currently has quotes that I can see from the four that use the Latin alphabet. (I can't tell if the Arabic or Japanese language wikis have quotes.) Autarch (talk) 02:38, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, the Arabic language wiki also have the quotes. The Portuguese and Arabic pages seem to be translations of the English version with all the sources in English and the quotes in the same order and with the same sources. The Japanese version does not have the quotes.--109.79.30.209 (talk) 22:00, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
