Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Hello, I'm Dan653. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Samsung Electronics, with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Dan653 (talk) 20:31, 23 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Samsung Electronics. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. Thanks for your edit. But, According to Neutral point of view, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Neutral_point_of_view

"information contained in them fairly, proportionately, and as far as possible without bias."

Then, if that edit is allow at here, then, iphone explode, htc one x explode are also can issue ? there are Tons of news article about that. I think edit is unfair and bias. and feel like slander. Thanks. (I posted same thing at your page) --02fagE67 (talk) 20:41, 23 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "02fagE67", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it is offensive. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. Dan653 (talk) 21:05, 23 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, first let me clarify what I said about your username. I know you didn't mean any offence and that is perfectly fine but it's good you went to change it as per the WP:USERNAME policy. It helps prevent misunderstanding. Also we come across a lot of new users daily and soon it becomes easy to judge someone by their username, people with offensive or company names are clearly not here to build an encyclopaedia and are usually troublesome or just plain vandals (They usually end up getting blocked).

Okay, about your argument regarding the edit, I see that it makes sense to some extent. I still don't feel it's right to delete an entire portion of content sourced to some reliable news agencies. I haven't edited the Samsung electronics page so I can't guide you any further. I would recommend you post the same thing on Talk:Samsung Electronics so that multiple users can have a look at your post and reply. One more important thing, please look through ALL the old posts (and archives) in the talk page of the Samsung Electronics just to make sure your question hasn't been answered yet, before posting. Read the talk page guidelines and be patient after you post, it may take time. Keep the article in your watchlist and wait for the reply. In the mean time, I recommend try editing on other articles, preferably short ones which are of bad quality. You will get the hang of things and how we work here by then; also do take a look a some good articles. Feel free to ask here if you have any more questions. Sincerely, Ugog Nizdast (talk) 07:05, 24 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
