Some of the interesting things I have seen around here.

• Wikipedia is not about me.
• Wikipedia does not need me
• Good faith is tricky territory.
  • While users are encouraged to assume good faith(or AGF), it is also often cited that AGF is not a suicide pact.
  • There are times that is is difficult to tell if other editors are demonstrating AGF. In those cases, editors are encouraged to assume that others are assuming good faith.
  • Eventually, you get to the point where you must assume the assumption, assuming that you are assuming.
  • If necessary, editors are allowed to ignore all of the above.
• There is no deadline.
• I believe that acknowledging my addiction to reading wiki-drama is the first step in my recovery. I'll have much more time to edit articles after I discover step 2 and I hope that happens soon. I'm leaning towards recognizing Bob as my higher power.

New Pages Patrol

I am considering working with NPP and here are a few of the basics I am learning from the relevant project page.

• Attack pages and hoaxes must be blanked and deleted (CSDG10 and G3) ASAP.
• Special care for copyrights should be paid to:
  • Articles about organizations.
  • Articles about bands.
  • Articles written in first person prose.
• Copyvio WP:CSD is WP:CSD#G12
• If articles in Special:Newpages are not patrolled within 30 days, they are added by bot to Category:Unreviewed new articles.
• Don't bite.
• Keep NPP page and CSD page open in tabs for quick reference.
• Check deletion criteria, namespace conventions, cites & refs, categories, MOS and grammar.
• [special:NewPages] may be obsolete.

Wiki-Divas

Maybe, someday soon, I'll make a list of divas here. It's been pretty disgusting lately seeing some of the people I respected pull the "take my ball and go home route". FFS, people, sack up and get on with making an encyclopedia (boys and girls alike).
