Ju$t Tha Realne$$ (born Jermaine Ramos, July 8, 1983) is an American hip-hop artist, music producer, and entrepreneur. He is the founder of his own label, C.A.P. Entertainment, and has been active since 2021. He is known for his work in the boom bap subgenre of hip-hop and his collaborations with artists like KRS-One and Krizz Kaliko.

Early Life

Jermaine Ramos, known by his stage name Ju$t Tha Realne$$, was born on July 8, 1983, in the Lower East Side of New York City and raised in Queens, New York. As a child, he experienced physical and sexual abuse, which led to multiple stays in mental institutions throughout his childhood. In his teenage years, he turned to boxing, competing in the Junior Golden Gloves, but was expelled from the Silver Gloves division due to anger issues. In his twenties, Ju$t Tha Realne$$ took up underground MMA fighting to support himself but was forced to stop after sustaining an injury.

After battling prescription drug addiction and surviving multiple suicide attempts, he realized the power of his story and decided to pursue a career in music at the age of 38. Ju$t Tha Realne$$ is now married and has three children.

Ju$t Tha Realne$$ began his music career in 2021, inspired by his older brother, Onesun. His music primarily falls within the boom bap subgenre of hip-hop. In 2021, he founded his own label, C.A.P. Entertainment (Citizens Against Poverty), through which he releases his music. His music often reflects his personal struggles, including mental health issues, and aims to inspire others who face similar challenges.
