M.O.P.Vaishnav College for Women (Autonomous) (Tamil: எம்.ஓ.பி.வைஷ்ணவ் பெண்கள் கல்லூரி) is affiliated to University of madras, is an Arts & Science Colleges in Nungambakkam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.[1]

History

M. O. Parthasarathy Iyengar Charities for the establishment of this women’s college in 1992, The college was started with just three courses – B.Com., B.B.A., B.Sc. (Maths) the college offers today 13 UG, 6 PG courses and a research programme in the Department of Commerce. The college, affiliated to the University of Madras.[2]

M.O.P.Community Radio Service

The year 2005 saw the college launching the M.O.P CRS - Community Radio Service with a frequency of 107.8 mzh, thus creating the history of being the first college in the country to have been granted license by the Government of India.[5]
