Resident of Sand Springs; born and raised Okie. Family roots in S.S. date to 1937 with my third great-grandfather.

Current student at Charles Page High School.

Along with my Mother (R.I.P), we traced our family back over three-and-a-half thousand people.

My eighth great-grandmother is Nancy Ward.

Member of the Sand Springs Historical Society.

My interests

(Very) Rookie editor who simply loves to read and write, especially regarding history, public administration, and genealogy. I love to learn about local and county history, read and be in-the-know of municipal agendas and minutes, and piece together and trace my family history.

I believe it's important to understand your family and local history. The most immediate impact one can make in the world is with their own family, friends, and town. Being engaged with family, close and extended, and with local politics and history helps build a strong and interconnected community that is knowledgeable and always ready to help each other and strangers. I believe that is the basis of a loving, connected community which understands its roots and interdependence.
