Don Miller is an award-winning Canadian-American journalist. Miller was one of CNN's 13 original anchors when the network aired its first newscast in 1980. [1]

Prior to starting an 11-year career at CNN, Miller worked at Global TV (1972-1980) in Canada, where he grew up. He is a member of Chippewas of Rama First Nation, and the first Native American to anchor an international newscast.

In 1965, Miller worked as a reporter, anchor and news director at CFOM in Quebec City before going on to become reporter, anchor and news director at CKWS radio-TV in Kingston, Ontario. 

Miller won major reportorial awards during his journalism career, including his national coverage of a forest fire in Northern Manitoba (1978) and tracking a fleeing hit-and-run driver accused of leaving a child to die (1976).

Miller is also the son of master Canadian woodcarver Bruce Miller.
