Jennifer S. Queen (born 28 July 1973) is an American cognitive psychologist whose teaching focuses on how the mind/brain takes in, stores, and uses information from the world. She is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Rollins College.
Background
[edit]Jennifer Queen graduated from Washington and Lee University in 1995 and received her Ph.D. in Cognition and Development from Emory University in 2003.[1] That same year she joined the psychology faculty at Rollins College.
Research
[edit]Her recent research projects including memory for spoken language and auditory imagery of speech, the effects of non-linguistic information on speech perception, and individual differences in the ability to understand language. Since arriving at Rollins, she has also developed a research of pedagogy program exploring her interest in how students learn from various technologies. Dr. Queen has published in the Journal of Experimental Psychology: Learning, Memory, & Cognition [2], and Human Perception & Performance[3], Teaching of Psychology[4], and the North American Journal of Psychology [5]
