Vasyl Ivchyk (born 29 December, 1985) is a Ukrainian data engineer, scientist, and PhD student in Business Administration and Management. He has 17 years of experience in the Information Technology industry and is known for his expertise in big data, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence. Vasyl is an author of scientific articles and frequently participates in international conferences on IT and business management.
Early Life and Education
[edit]Vasyl Ivchyk is a citizen of Ukraine. His early interest in technology began at a young age when he gained access to a PC, which sparked his curiosity in computers and technology. His family supported his academic pursuits, which allowed him to excel in his studies.
He holds two master's degrees:
- Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs: Master's degree in Information Management Systems and Technologies (2007) [1];
- The National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute": Master's degree with honours in Management and Administration (2023) [2].

Vasyl is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration and Management at the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" (since 2023).
In addition to his academic achievements, Vasyl played volleyball professionally for 15 years. He competed in the Ukrainian Volleyball Championship for the Irpin team and played as a libero for the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs team, where he repeatedly received the award for best libero in tournaments. Due to his height, he later transitioned from professional sports to focus on his academic and IT career.

As a Senior Big Data Engineer at Zoral, Vasyl works with a wide range of technologies, including Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, Datastore, Airflow, Python, Java, Composer, Storage, IAM, Kubernetes, Docker, and Apache NiFi. His role involves developing big data solutions, managing cloud infrastructure, and leading enterprise-level projects.
Senior Oracle ETL Developer / Team Leader
