Frank Leonhardt is a computer scientist living and working in London (England). He developed operating system and application software for early microcomputer manufacturers, including Apple, Atari and Digital Research. He was the first Technical Editor for Personal Computer World magazine, appearing regularly in the computing press as a freelance writer throughout the 1990's, and has written or edited several technical books, mostly on minority interests.

He currently works on high-reliability and secure systems, and lectures in security and software development.
