The Surface Seems So Far is the ninth studio album by South African rock band Seether. It was released on September 20, 2024 through Fantasy Records,[1] and is the follow up to 2020's Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum.[2] According to vocalist Shaun Morgan it is the band's heaviest and most intense album[3] and it was written during the COVID-19 Pandemic lockdown.[4] It is also the band's first album to feature no acoustic songs.

The first single from the album titled "Judas Mind" was released on July 10, 2024.[5] The second single titled "Illusion" was released on August 23, 2024.[6]
