Early Life

[edit]

Marilyn Flores Ponce was born on December 18, 1996, in West Covina, California, as the only child of entrepreneurs Veronica Ponce and Jimmy Flores. Following their separation during her childhood, her heritage includes a blend of Mexican and Irish-German ancestry. Her mother is originally from Mexicali, Mexico, while her father's roots are Irish and German.

In her early years, Marilyn attended East Valley Adventist School[2] in Baldwin Park, California. Unfortunately, she endured bullying from first to fourth grade, which rendered her school experience particularly challenging. However, upon her transfer to Chaffey High School, she graduated in 2015, where she discovered her profound passion for theatre. This newfound love for the performing arts propelled her to pursue a career in entertainment.

In the article titled "How Brands Can Have Better Relationships With Influencers,"[4](2017) Ayla remarked, "People stopped watching TV and started focusing on social media, and brands figured that out and began to realize that they needed to form partnerships with influencers." This insight highlights her understanding of the shifting dynamics in media consumption and the growing importance of authenticity in brand collaborations.
