Presidential Fun-Facts: I found out that GEORGE WASHINGTON produced 180,000 gallons of whiskey at his home, MOUNT VERNON, thus making him the single largest distiller of alcohol in America.

I also found out that JOHN ADAMS and THOMAS JEFFERSON were the only presidents that signed the DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE. JEFFERSON also was very secretive. He did not want to talk about things he didn't want to talk about.

I think you'd want to know that JAMES MADISON was called "no bigger then half a soap" because of his size, 5'4. MADISON also had a bawdy sense of humor.

JAMES MONROE, as I found out, is the second president to fight in the AMERICAN REVOLUTION, not the last.

JOHN QUINCY ADAMS, from what WIKIPEDIA has told me, is the only former president who knew ABRAHAM LINCOLN.

ANDREW JACKSON is the last president to fight in the AMERICAN REVOLUTION.

MARTIN VAN BUREN is the first widower to enter the office since THOMAS JEFFERSON (no, ANDREW JACKSON is not a widower as he technically won the election before his wife's death).

WILLIAM HENRY HARRISON, my favorite, is the only president to study medicine.

JOHN TYLER was the first Jr., elected president.Aruda556 (talk) 23:23, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
