GZ Librae

[edit]

@Lithopsian: Why do you designate the star system 33 Librae/Gliese 570 as KX Librae? What I can see is the member 33 Librae A/Gliese 570 A KX Librae, while the star system 33 Librae/Gliese 570 is designated GZ Librae. Do you have other information than SIMBAD!? Deryni (talk) 15:14, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Nowhere does the Simbad entry for 33 Librae say that it is Gliese 570. It is a completely different star. See Flamsteed designation and Gould designation. Lithopsian (talk) 15:26, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for straighten that out. Deryni (talk) 13:53, 3 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Lithopsian: But it's more confusing than so. KX Librae is designated as 33 G. Librae, while 33 Librae is redirected to Zeta Librae, in EnWp. This doesn't match SIMBAD either. For instance, look at KX Lib and 33 Lib (No Zeta Lib here) in SIMBAD.Deryni (talk) 16:43, 3 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Redirects don't have to be synonyms. 33 Librae doesn't have to be the same as ζ Librae, but it is mentioned there. Ironically, it isn't any of ζ1, ζ2, ζ3, or ζ4 Librae, but the naming is pretty confusing. 33 Librae doesn't currently have its own article, so at least you find out something. Lithopsian (talk) 20:03, 3 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Lithopsian:OK. Well, 33 Librae has an article of its own, but apparently not in EnWp. And Wikidata is a mess, d:Q1195589. I will give 33 Lib a WD object of its own. Thank you for your time. Deryni (talk) 09:15, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
