This template displays a link to a discussion or request for comment at the reliable sources noticeboard or its archives.

Usage

This template accepts three unnamed parameters:

  1. Archive number, e.g. 123 from Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard/Archive 123
  2. Section heading of the discussion, e.g. Discussion name from Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard/Archive 1#Discussion name
    • Required unless link text is specified.
  3. Link text
    • This parameter is optional, and is set to the section heading of the discussion by default.

This template also accepts three optional named parameters:

  • id: The talk page−permalink ID of the linked section's opening comment, without the hashtag.
  • rfc: Set this to y if the discussion is a request for comment.
    • If set, this parameter adds an icon to the left of the link.
  • active: Set this to y if the discussion is currently active.
    • If set, this parameter italicizes the link.
