Sea Odyssey: Giant Spectacular

[edit]

Sea Odyssey: Giant Spectacular The Giant Uncle

  • ... that during Liverpool's Sea Odyssey, the city was visited by a 9 metre tall little girl, her 15 metre uncle (pictured), and her dog, Xolo?

  • Fun article and fun event! Date, length, image, sources, hook all fine. Two things: 1) Very often, the lead (or lede) is a brief paragraph that introduces and summarizes the article, but doesn't have citations. However, my understanding is that it is not mandatory. 2) You generally had fairly little close paraphrasing. There's only only item that needs to be addressed. In the "The giants" section, you have a long portion of a sentence that is identical (except for the Lilliputians in italics) to that in reference #1: "by a team of 110 puppeteers and crane operators, who refer to themselves as Lilliputians, after the." I think that if you take care of that, you'll be good to go. Anne (talk) 19:48, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
Oh yes, well spotted, thanks. I've changed it to "During the three days the puppets, cranes, and other equipment required a team of 110 operators, who call themselves Lilliputians after the characters from the 1726 Jonathan Swift novel Gulliver's Travels" - Do you think that's OK? -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 19:57, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
Excellent. You're good to go. I added a punctuation mark. I have only one question. The photo in the article is great. Is there a reason that you didn't include it in your nomination? Anne (talk) 20:32, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
Thanks, and thanks for spotting the punctuation. As for the photo, I simply didn't think of it - can you help me to add it now? -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 20:34, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
Done it, photo added -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 21:00, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
Great. I added (pictured) and you're all set. There's nothing else that you need to do. Anne (talk) 19:57, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
