Leslie Leve

[edit]
  • ... that Leslie Leve found that positive parenting by adoptive parents can reduce children's callous behaviors, which can be inherited from birth parents? Source: "The team found that antisocial behavior in the biological mother predicted CU behaviors in their children who were adopted into homes as infants. This was despite the biological mothers having limited or no contact with the children, indicating that CU behaviors were inherited. However, the team also found that high levels of positive reinforcement by adoptive mothers helped to mitigate CU behaviors in their adopted children." (link)
  • Alt 1: ... that researcher Leslie Leve has found that parents' depression is associated with more behavior problems in their children, unless they have a partner who has strong social support? Source: “for both mothers and fathers, when a parent with depressive symptoms had a partner who was highly satisfied with their social support networks, that parent’s depression was less strongly associated with compromised parenting.” link

  • This notion that children can inherit a behavior is not supported by evidence, and in the article is supported only by a press release. Abductive (reasoning) 06:12, 11 June 2019 (UTC)
@Abductive: I've changed the hook, which has an outside reference. In addition, within the article, I've added the original study as a reference for the first hook. QuakerSquirrel (talk) 10:32, 16 June 2019 (UTC)
I like it. Abductive (reasoning) 16:32, 24 June 2019 (UTC)
@Abductive: Great! Is it ready to be approved & ready for the green checkmark? Let me know if you need anything else from me. Thanks! QuakerSquirrel (talk) 22:27, 24 June 2019 (UTC)
I nominated an article for DYK last year, and the WP:OWNERS here have made the process far too arbitrary and capricious for me to continue to participate. I only comment on factual matters. Abductive (reasoning) 23:24, 24 June 2019 (UTC)
OK, thanks for your feedback. I'll wait for another reviewer to come and approve. QuakerSquirrel (talk) 14:32, 25 June 2019 (UTC)
QPQ done. Copyvio clean - Created in time and long enough. Hook is well sourced, if a little wordy. Quite happy to support a promote. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs)
