Hedwig Bollhagen

[edit]

  • ... that Hedwig Bollhagen took over her workshops to make pots (example pictured) in "unusual circumstances" during the Nazi era?

Created by Victuallers (talk). Self nominated at 23:20, 14 April 2014 (UTC).

  • Article created by Victuallers on April 14, 2014 with 3,548 characters of readable prose. Well supported by external sources throughout, some in German. The two English sources suggest that the hook could be made clearer. Please take a look my ALT1 (below) for possible alternative. Good to go as is. Poeticbent talk 17:54, 20 April 2014 (UTC)
  • ALT1: ... that during the Nazi era, Hedwig Bollhagen took over a Jewish workshop in "unusual circumstances" to make quality ceramics (example pictured)?
Thanks for the review. Alt1 is much clearer. Victuallers (talk) 20:56, 20 April 2014 (UTC)
  • The quote used in the article, which also seems to be a more accurate translation for "fragwürdigen Umständen", is "questionable circumstances", not the softened "unusual circumstances" in the hooks; the hook has to properly represent the article and the source when quoting. Suggesting ALT1a as a rewording of ALT1 with the correct quote, since Victuallers prefers it over the original hook, and striking the earlier hooks:
  • ALT1a: ... that during the Nazi era, Hedwig Bollhagen took over a Jewish workshop under "questionable circumstances" to make quality ceramics (example pictured)?
A new reviewer should confirm the new facts in the ALT hooks (Jewish workshop, quality ceramics) added by Poeticbent. —BlueMoonset (talk) 16:18, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
Looks like we have managed to convert another approved hook into a confused review. This will just deter editors and reviewers considering proposing new articles. I have lost interest in this one too. I do thank @Poeticbent for their review and maybe someone else has the drive to push this through. I find that this process requires too high an investment of effort once it gets itself involved in finding 4th and 5th reviewers. Hopefully we will fix this process. • First you complain when I don't suggest a new hook when finding errors, now you complain when I do. Either way, you seem to think that misstating an article quote in the hook isn't an issue to begin with, but it is. BlueMoonset (talk) 13:15, 24 April 2014 (UTC)
  • New reviewer still needed to confirm facts in ALT hooks. BlueMoonset (talk) 17:44, 29 April 2014 (UTC)
  • Article is new enough, long enough, well referenced. Page creator has done a nice job avoiding close paraphrasing. QPQ done. Image is pd. ALT1a foreign-language hook ref AGF (I saw the right translation on Google Translate) and cited inline. ALT1a good to go. Yoninah (talk) 20:34, 30 April 2014 (UTC)
