Anna Stanislawska

[edit]
  • Reviewed: I still have to review another nomination and will post this here once it's done.
  • Comment: nominator was new to DYK, so QPQ is not required (and was never done); nomination was not transcluded at the time, and is being transcluded now. BlueMoonset (talk) 23:24, 2 February 2017 (UTC)

Created by Emoryrusso (talk). Self-nominated at 21:04, 19 May 2016 (UTC). Transcluded at 23:24, 2 February 2017 (UTC)

  • Page was nominated within 7 days of creation, and the nomination is being transcluded now. Long enough, neutrally written, well referenced. As all sources are offline, unable to check for close paraphrasing. The hook, though, is pretty run of the mill. I would like to suggest an alt:
Anna Stanisławska
Anna Stanisławska
  • ALT1: ... that 17th-century Polish author Anna Stanisławska (pictured) wrote an epic poem about her early life consisting of 77 laments?
  • Since the page creator stopped editing in May 2016, calling on another reviewer to approve the alt. Yoninah (talk) 00:03, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
  • The hook pulls info from several areas. The article's sentences about the "77 laments" and "epic poem" do not have a citation (the paragraph does, though), so right now it fails. It should take little effort to fix that, though. Mindmatrix 21:54, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
  • I formatted the references and was able to cull information directly from an online source. I added myself to the DYK creation credits for the extra editing I did to bring this up to speed. Here is an alt sourced from the online reference:
  • ALT2: ... that 17th-century Polish poet Anna Stanisławska (pictured) wrote about her life and three marriages as a series of 77 laments? Yoninah (talk) 22:58, 4 February 2017 (UTC)
  • Hook ALT2 has been verified. This still needs a final tick for the overall review, which I assume you've more or less completed. Mindmatrix 02:21, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
  • Well, I assume your tick is relying on my review, and just verifying the ALT2 hook that I wrote. Yoninah (talk) 12:59, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
  • Yup. Good to go then. Mindmatrix 13:41, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
