5to Piso

[edit]

Created/expanded by Hahc21 (talk). Self nom at 00:54, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

The article originated in 2008, and I regret to say that its text has not been expanded fivefold within the past several days. Drhoehl (talk) 02:23, 8 June 2012 (UTC)

Article met 5-fold expansion on 13 May 2012. WP:IAR and allow it in? --LauraHale (talk) 07:08, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
This article had 8,428 bytes on Sept 12, 2011. The next non-bot edits did not happen until April 15, 2012, when Gaius Cornelius brought it up to 8, 598. On April 20, 2012, Hahc21and others began a steady expansion.. On May 13, it was 26,454 bytes. As of June 6, it was 42,296 bytes. Hahc21 did the majority of it, and there was some edits in there by SarahStierch, Nite-Sirk, Download, Mauri96 and IP Editor 190.222.36.150 and IP Editor 200.95.157.196. The DYK guidelines do not say it has to be just one editor. DYK guidelines say, "five times as much prose as the previously existing article". If 2011 was the "previously existing article", then it meets expansion, but maybe the other editors who helped should be included as contributing editors. Maile66 (talk) 15:55, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
If some one else will check against the other criteria, I would support this passing despite the time issues. --LauraHale (talk) 20:54, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
In support of what you have been saying, LauraHale, I don't believe there is a time factor. DYK merely says "previously existing article". DYK does not specifically define what that means, and no time frame is mentioned. I'm willing to accept the 2011 edits as the "previously existing article", and what's happened afterwards as expansion. Maile66 (talk) 21:21, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
I would like to apology. When i expanded 5to Piso, alongside Poquita Ropa and Ricardo Arjona i didn't knew nothing about DYK. I nominated this to see of it could be included since it was extensively revamped in just a few days (back in May), just like the other two. --Hahc21 [TALK][CONTRIBS] 00:55, 9 June 2012 (UTC)

DYK could be having a moment of all kinds of silly: I just got Prose size (text only): 11731 characters (2016 words) "readable prose size" Article created by Jaespinoza on December 11, 2008 Assuming article is at 5x now, expansion began 1 edits ago on June 6, 2012. out of the DYK check. Previously, it had told me the expansion dated to May 13, 2012 so it wasn't an issue of May 2011 but recent enough and we're talking a pretty extensive expansion to about 2,000 words that makes this one seem worthwhile to WP:IAR. The article reads as neutral enough to me and it is fully cited. Hook is properly formmated (Image copyright check, plagiarism check, hook being supported by the text and citation supporting that still need to be checked.) --LauraHale (talk) 01:53, 9 June 2012 (UTC)

It's eligible. My figures came from the History. You were using the DYK for the figures, which the guidelines says is correct. But back in April, the readable prose was 1160 - now it's 11731. This article is eligible under expansion, and there is no need to WP:IAR. It just flat-out meets eligibility. Maile66 (talk) 12:47, 9 June 2012 (UTC)

Good to go. Duplication Detector finds no copyvio. Length and date are good. Hook is referenced. This article is done so well that it probably should eventually be a GA or FA. AGF on Spanish language references.Maile66 (talk) 13:05, 9 June 2012 (UTC)

Thanks! Could i nominate Poquita Ropa too? Since it was expanded on the same period? --—Hahc21 [TALK][CONTRIBS] 13:32, 9 June 2012 (UTC)
Of course! Just set it up as a new nomination template by itself. Maile66 (talk) 13:58, 9 June 2012 (UTC)
