Tasuj (Persian: طسوج)[a] is a city in, and the capital of, Tasuj District of Kavar County, Fars province, Iran.[4] It also serves as the administrative center for Tasuj Rural District.[5]

At the time of the 2006 National Census, Tasuj's population was 5,814 in 1,243 households, when it was a village in Tasuj Rural District of the former Kavar District of Shiraz County.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 5,136 people in 1,249 households,[7] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Kavar County. The rural district was transferred to the new Tasuj District.[4] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 4,555 people in 1,141 households.[2]

After the census, Tasuj was elevated to the status of a city.[8]
