Category: Assyria

[edit]

I would like to know why the category Assyria is allowed while category Kurdistan is being removed? Is there exact boundaries for Assyria? As far as I remember that's the main reason given for removing the Kurdistan category. Heja Helweda 22:52, 21 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Zakho. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Population over +1.000.000? Sounds funny. Tekin 19:23, 15 March 2016 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Beshogur (talkcontribs)

"Kurdish city"?

[edit]

Last time I checked, Iraq was still a sovereign state recognised by all UN members. Shouldn't the correct description say "Iraqi city"?

Not reliable sources

[edit]

I delete 3 sources ; please see Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources :

  • Ariel Sabar, My Father's Paradise: A Son's Search for His Jewish Past in Kurdish Iraq, 2008 : Ariel Sabar is not a historian, he just wrote something like an autobiography or a novel, and can not say anything about events that happened in 1891.

Armenian no

[edit]

Why you add armenian language in a city in Iraq?? Majority of people in Iraq are Assyrians, Kurds And Arabs. Just because some armenians went here doesnt it mean just add there language in. This is why everybody looks at Iraq like a joke, we are too kind and welcome everything. Why dont we see our languages used on other wikipedia pages about cities or towns?
