Unreferenced and OR

[edit]

This page includes information that is unreferenced and potentially is unacceptable due to being original research. I also removed the interwiki as none existed (I checked to see if there were maybe some resources confirming stuff there). The website and myspace are rubbish for confirming the info on the page here, so if nothing is brought in to confirm the content of the page, I'm going to start hacking in about a week or so (into a stub with two images). --lincalinca 07:06, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good! Some of the info on here actually doesn't even look to be correct... 130.71.96.19 23:22, 1 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Xxlcoverfox.JPG

[edit]

Image:Xxlcoverfox.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Possibly useful photos

[edit]

If anyone is writing further about Elliott Wilson, I took a couple of photos of him this weekend, which I've put on the Commons: File:Elliott Wilson 01.jpg and File:Elliott Wilson 02.jpg. - Jmabel | Talk 00:56, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Top 10 Freshmen

[edit]

Unless there is a new citation for this section, it stopped in 2009 according to the current reference. Therefore the constant addition of 2010 & 2011 numbers are either wp:or or vandalism. Best, Markvs88 (talk) 17:38, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... http://www.xxlmag.com/news/2011/02/the-2011-xxl-freshmen/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.240.207.128 (talk) 21:29, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Then may I suggest that you take the radical step of updating the citation when you add in the data? I could just as easily have changed it so that every 2010 artist was Iron Maiden, and with the citation there it would have been equally valid. Best, Markvs88 (talk) 02:47, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Rappers who declined the XXL Freshman List

[edit]

Should there be a mention of significant rappers who went on record to mention that they declined an offer to appear on the list? I've been seeing edits of adding and removing a paragraph which mentions this subject. LouisVuittonDevil17 (talk) 20:00, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I feel like there should be, but artists should be removed if there isn't a source that confirms that they turned it down. This way people don't keep adding rappers that they "think" turned it down without any evidence (like Sheck Wes) 2604:6000:1310:C822:60B2:EB1A:8381:AC4C (talk) 20:39, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
