Fair use rationale for Image:V vow.jpg

[edit]

Image:V vow.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Comments from AJona1992
  • Infobox: "Released" needs a {{start date}} template
  • Infobox: "Length" needs a {{duration}} template
  • Tell me why does this sentence "Vow" is a 1994 song written, recorded and produced by alternative rock band Garbage and was released as their debut single in early 1995. is constructed like this? Please look at other GA song articles for a better approach.
  • Delink "Los Angeles and Seattle"
  • Delink Australia
  • Delink United States
  • Billboard needs to be in italics --> Billboard Hot 100
  • Delink greatest hits
  • "Vow" began in rough demo form in January, 1994 - not a great start, very weak prose
  • Delink Wisconsin
  • Delink Audition
  • Manson eventually returned to Smart - who is Smart? I know its Smart Studios but you add it here as if its a person
  • "for a successful second time" - why not just a say "for a second try" it borders WP:OR
  • Delink lyrics
  • Delink violence
  • Delink psychological
  • Lyrically, Manson claimed ""Vow" is about having feelings [of vengeance]. You have to face your feelings of revenge and work out why you feel that way. It's about that conundrum when you're really angry but in reality you're in a pitiful state. Angry, twisted, but deep down, vulnerable" - a period is missing (at the end)
  • Delink genre (music)
  • I'm going to stop here. This article was nominated prematurely, there are far far too many WP:COMMONWORDs that are linked throughout this article. Also, "Single release" for chart positions/peaks does not follow WP:ORDINAL at all, there are also many words linked twice (like their debut album). "Commercial track listings" does not follow simple WP:MoS. Moreover, File:GarbageVowvideo.JPG does not comply WP:NFCC its rational is very very weak and does not give a suitable reasoning on why a non-free video shot gives any educational value. I am most certain that File:GarbageVowInternational.png fails WP:NFCC and I also asked a more experienced user [1] about it. Also the "Reference" is a mess, publications are not italicized while one title is in capitalization, which is not supposed to be (even if the website presents itself as such). I suggest you fixed all concerns, get it copy edited, allow others to give it a WP:PR and then re-nominate. Best, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 22:57, 27 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Also please look at this discussion about the second cover. Best, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 17:17, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
