As a social phenomenon, the notability of this article lies only on the musical style itself. Since "vigilante rap" is mainly underground, there are no notable singers or songwriters in this kind of music.

The notability lies only on the social context and cultural meaning of a musical style created to be the opposite of the Brazilian gangsta rap, reflecting the societal changes that Rio de Janeiro are suffering nowadays. --Homem de Letras (talk) 14:03, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
