GA review
(see here for what the criteria are, and here for what they are not)
  1. It is reasonably well written.

b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.

    c (OR):
    d (copyvio and plagiarism):

    a (major aspects):
    b (focused):
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales):
b (appropriate use with suitable captions):

Overall:
Pass/Fail:

  • Copyvio check - I reviewed the two non-zero matches found using Earwig's Copyvio Detector. No issues; there are some phrases like "the first Finnish native to" that appear in the article and in sources that I consider OK per WP:LIMITED.
  • Image - appropriate and licenced. Alt text could be added per MOS:ALT.

Early life

Black belt career

  • Seems quite brief; perhaps some details such as details of bouts or even just names of other opponents could be added?
  • "Luukkonen was a European championship medallist for six consecutive years from 2015 to 2020. Luukkonen trains in both Finland and Sweden, she represents Hilti Akademi Nord, where she is one of the head instructors" - not all supported by the cited source, which is from 2014. (Although the first sentence is supported by cited info elsewhere in the article)

Personal life

  • Seems fine.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitive summary

  • "2nd Place IBJJF European Championship" years are in chronological order, whilst others are in reverse chronological order.
  • Non-essential comment: I know not everyone likes tables, but consider putting the info in tables; or, failing that, perhaps group the citations at the end as although their current placement is great for verification, it's not the friendliest presentation to a reader.

Instructor lineage

  • Unless there's a consensus or manual of style issue around this being a separate section, I think it might be better as part of the prose under one of the other sections.

References

  • Given the relatively small number of sources cited, I used a search engine, the Wikipedia Library, and NewsBank to see if there were any obvious omissions, and didn't find any. I think coverage of Luukkonen does pass the WP:GNG threshold.
  • IABot could be used to archive copies of sources and prevent WP:LINKROT.
  • The use of Instagram as a source seems OK for what it is supporting.
  • Yle Uutiset ref is missing the author.

Infobox and lead

  • Lead is short, but proportionate to the article.
  • The citations in the infobox are not required as the info is cited in the article body. (not a blocker)

Thanks, Lewolka. I'm satisfied that the article meets the GA criteria so am passing it. Thanks for your efforts. Regards, BennyOnTheLoose (talk) 22:27, 13 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
