The series requires more character development that is relatable and motivatingly informative. So far the best quote is Blinky's. "Destiny is a gift some go their entire lives, living existences of quite desperation, never learning the truth that what feels as though a burden pushing down upon our shoulders is actually a sense of purpose that lifts us to greater heights. Never forget that fear is but the precursor to valor, that to strive and triumph in the face of fear is what it means to be a hero. Don't think master Jim, become."

Title

[edit]

I was wondering why this article is called DreamWorks Trollhunters? DreamWorks is the studio. The movies aren't called "DreamWorks Shrek" for example. Wouldn't a title Trollhunters (TV series) be more appropriate/accurate?--DisneyMetalhead (talk) 17:10, 3 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Couldn't agree more. On Netflix, it's simply called Trollhunters [1]. This seems like the same case as the Marvel television series articles that do not include "Marvel's" in front of their article name. - Brojam (talk) 18:33, 3 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Via the link in the infobox under External Links to the official DreamWorks TV site, the series is named DreamWorks Trollhunters. Same case as DreamWorks Dragons. -- AlexTW 02:29, 4 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've gone ahead and reverted the bold move back to Trollhunters, following WP:TITLE (specifically WP:COMMONNAME – no reliable sources that I've come across refer to it as "DreamWorks Trollhunters"... which should also probably not be using camel case per MOS:TM). There seems to be consensus above in favour of "Trollhunters", and seems to be the only topic of this name. Please continue the discussion here before moving it again. Cheers. ‑‑YodinT 16:26, 15 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'm the one who moved, because that is what it is called on the offical press release page of Netflix (https://media.netflix.com/en/press-releases/mark-hamill-lena-headey-and-david-bradley-join-the-cast-of-guillermo-del-toros-trollhunters-for-season-2). -Abyss Taucher (talk) 22:47, 16 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Abyss Taucher. Have you read WP:COMMONNAME? The most relevant part is:
Wikipedia does not necessarily use the subject's "official" name as an article title; it generally prefers to use the name that is most frequently used to refer to the subject in English-language reliable sources.
How many reliable sources use "Dreamworks Trollhunters" when talking about this show? Is there any reason why we shouldn't follow the naming guidelines in this case? ‑‑YodinT 23:46, 16 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hallo Yodin. Yes, I have read WP:COMMONNAME, but to be honest I forgot that it applies here. I don't think we should change it back, I was giving my reasoning at the time I changed. - I do think that the situation with Dreamworks titles is a bit convoluted. DreamWorks Dragons has the full name, but I guess that's because of WP:COMMONNAME. -Abyss Taucher (talk) 00:48, 17 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thanks for the heads up Abyss Taucher :) I'd be inclined to rename Dragons too (maybe to Dragons (TV series) or something), but as sources tend to use Dragons with the subtitles Riders/Defenders of Berk / Race to the Edge, rather than refer to the series as a whole, it's a bit less clear cut, so I won't try to get it renamed. Anyway, thanks for all your work maintaining the list of Netflix original programs, and see you around! ‑‑YodinT 01:07, 17 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect casting information.

[edit]

Hey there, I noticed that some of the casting info on this page is info that comes from Transformers and as such it neither fits in here nor does some of the sentence make any sense. Just wanted to point it out for you to help out.

Take care and have a great day. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.209.219.111 (talk) 06:01, 16 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
