Notability

[edit]

I'm removing the notability challenge tag. They meet notability requirements because:

  • They have released two or more albums on a major label or on one of the more important indie labels (i.e. an independent label with a history of more than a few years, and with a roster of performers, many of whom are notable).
  • They have been the subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works appearing in sources that are reliable and are independent from the musician or ensemble itself.
  • They have been a featured subject of a substantial broadcast segment across a national radio or TV network.

They've had two albums out on Honest Jon's, which has quite major distribution as well as having its own wiki. They've been reviewed in lots of music magazines and newspapers including the Guardian: http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2011/mar/17/trembling-bells-cd-review http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2010/apr/18/trembling-bells-abandoned-love#start-of-comments They played a 6 music session for Mark Riley :http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b011r3p5 They have also done several tours, played at festivals such as Green Man Festival, and have toured with Mike Heron http://www.clashmusic.com/news/trembling-bells-mike-heron-team-up http://www.greenman.net/artist2009/trembling-bells/1677

I think that entitles them to be on wikipedia. Kaleeyed (talk) 19:25, 10 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Quite agree. I never understood the tag. It was more that the article was rather scant at the time. IXIA (talk) 08:04, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
