One Event. It has been ascertained that this article should be a re-direct to George Zinkhan as per people notable for one event means that Tom Tanner does not warrant an article in his own right. I tried to add a "Casualties" section to George Zinkhan, and this section was also deleted. I feel that the victims are professional people who probably warranted their own page in the first place before the event, and as the articles are only minutes old and already longer than a typical section, they should probably not be sections of another article. So far I have tried to see if an article does show notability without the incident, and Bruce, and Teague had published books and graduated from University and were both professionals. The Tanner article is the last to be developed, give it a few more minutes than just five, to see what is out there, he also graduated from University and must have done something.  :-) SriMesh | talk 18:32, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Millions of people have graduated from university, that does not make them notable. As this possible bio is connected to a current event, it is likely to attract heavy editing. I would advice you to develop the article in your user space (sandbox), clearly showing why this person is notable beyond this single event, and then perhaps placing it back here. --Crusio (talk) 18:35, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If you want a re-direct IMHO, it doesn't belong to a bio on George Zinkhan, but rather a casualty section of the incident page which should be created, as per above WP guideline.SriMesh | talk 18:42, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It may be that Tanner is the least notable of all three victims, however not developing an article because of possible editing and or vandalism is a silly reason not to have an article. Just being a graduate of the University alone is not notable, but what is chosen subsequently as well. Thank you for your comment. And if an article is dead it is dead, no use to have it be dead in a sandbox.SriMesh | talk 18:45, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • I am not saying that you should not create an article because of possible vandalism. I just mean to say that it may be more effective to create a more complete article in your sandbox before placing it here. At this point, all that there is to justify notability, is the fact that these people were murder victims. As per WP:N and WP:ONEVENT, that is insufficient reason to create an article. As for yet another article on this event, I don't think another article on top of the Zinkhan one is justified. There is, unfortunately, nothing extraordinary about murder, not even a triple one. --Crusio (talk) 18:51, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
