Thanks, tokyo-to, for that pic of the city...I love it! I reinserted the Tsukiji fish market image because it has been an item of some discussion.--Cbradshaw 03:56, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mara Yamauchi and Spanish version site

[edit]

Thanks to join the edit of this page, juhachi. And can you imagine, why the bid commitee selected Mara to be one of the presenters for its acitivity? It's just the reason, her life is based on Japan and Tokyo, with her family and training (ex. She often runs along Tama River). Therefore, it's useful and not superfluous. And, do you know that thing? Most of websites in Japan don't prepare themselves in foreign languages, except English, or rarely Chinese and Korean. So, making its website of French and Spanish version is one of their evidence that the bid commitee wants to recieve sttonger support from foreign countries, and your delete was not correct, though here is English Wiki. --Rc21 (talk) 05:57, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Now look here. In the context of the paragraph, and the understanding of what is being said, it is completely unnecessary to mention she is married to a Japanese man; this really has no bearing on this article. Second, what you are saying about the Spanish version being notable is just your opinion, and is also unnecessary to mention as this is the English Wikipedia, and unless you want to start adding in original research to support your claims that "making its website of French and Spanish version is one of their evidence that the bid commitee wants to recieve sttonger support from foreign countries", it should not be added.-- 07:18, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks juhachi, but it's just your opinion, too. Though YOU think these are "extremely superfluous", how you can prove OTHER USERS surely support your edit? You know "Mayumi Narita is a woman", but some users may don't know, so the describe should be added. Then, they are not necessary at least, but useful to express the diplomatic charactor of this bid. I hope you stand on flexible positions, for example, like someone who has little informations about the object, not same as well intelligent as yourself. --Rc21 (talk) 10:08, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I don't care about the "Narita is a woman" thing anymore; I care about the other material that doesn't need to be there to understand the context of the paragraphs in which they are in. It may be my opinion that these edits are superfluous, but you are the one who is saying that they are needed for context, which is pure original research and shouldn't be added on this basis. In other words, I doubt you could prove the need to add in these things in order to understand the context of the paragraphs they are in.-- 23:01, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It should be avoid the block by 3RR, so I have to remain the articles which we've discussed here, though I don't change my opinion about these problems. Now it's the time to put new elements into the column. And, not only correct mistakes of spells and grammers, you should, and could do add new describes by yourself, I think. According to your page, can you read the Japanese article in the Asahi Shimbun; 東京五輪招致、「顔」決まらず ライバル国は豪華布陣 (The Tokyo Olympic Bid, Can't Set "The Face" - The Rivals Shift Dream Teams In Each)? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rc21 (talkcontribs) 17:18, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Excuse my forgotten the sign at the above post. --Rc21 (talk) 17:23, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not really one for adding anything to this article; I merely make sure it's cleaned up and have no interest in doing any extra research. You can keep adding in things and I'll keep cleaning them up.-- 21:48, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
