Character sections

[edit]

They are suffering from a sever case of "die for our ship" and butthurt. Can someone fix them? It seems a Lion-O/Cheetara shipper decided to vandalize it to force his views on the characters in a very biased way.187.244.84.226 (talk) 06:15, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Reboot

[edit]

Based on the dialogue in the show, this show seems more like a Sequel and not a Reboot. Can someone more familiar with Wikipedia maybe change that? 72.37.249.60 (talk) 13:54, 9 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The creators of the show stated in multiple interviews that it is indeed a reboot--GroovySandwich 03:01, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

How is this not anime?

[edit]

That's considering that an anime production studio provides the animation. KyuuA4 (Talk:キュウ) 00:34, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well the studio did the animation for some episodes of Transformers Animated, and that was considered not anime. Also, the series hasn't aired in Japan yet, wouldn't Japan get the series first? --WikiEditor44 (talk) 17:45, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
A dictionary definition [1] does not have any reference to location of "airing". Therefore, Japan viewing the series is not a requirement. KyuuA4 (Talk:キュウ) 05:09, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Afro Samurai. An anime initially released for North America. KyuuA4 (Talk:キュウ) 23:06, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It is both an anime and western cartoon animation because its a co-production of two studios working on both styles of animation. Refer to ThunderCats Crew Blog. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.101.164.110 (talk) 08:29, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cancellation?

[edit]

Does anybody have any information on the sudden cancellation? They skipped a week, did a random re-run and now they're airing the pilot again for the next two weeks (this week and next week). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.3.109.129 (talk) 02:25, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

(2011 TV series) Tag

[edit]

Now that the TV series has had great success and has extended beyond 2011, I feel it is time to rename the tag for this reboot. Any ideas? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.32.246.133 (talk) 04:42, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Seperate contorversy section?

[edit]

for this bit: "However, as the episodes progressed, many fans began to criticize the direction or the story as well as the overall quality of the writing. After the events depicted in the Book One finale, numerous fans ceased watching ThunderCats due to what many consider an irresponsible and unfair decision by writers and producers.

Recently, a host of insulting and highly inappropriate comments issued by certain crew members regarding ThunderCats characters and fans have begun circulating the internet causing many to question the professionalism of those crew members involved."

I'm really not a wikipedia editor or I'd probably delete it for being unsourced. But I don't want to mess something up and if true (I've never seen the show) seems like it could be warrented.

I was thinking of adding this at the end of the "reception" section of the article: Many fans have questioned the professionalism of the crew of Thundercats. Dan Norton, the art director of the show, was quoted at WonderCon 2011, as saying that “Cheetara was an anorexic ho” as well as Larry Kenney, the voice actor for Lion-O in the original Thundercats was also quoted as saying that Cheetara had Arthritis as well as remarking about her “boob job”. And adding this as a reference. What do you guys think, also please don't forget to sign your posts.--Packinheat2u (talk) 01:30, 14 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There are other things that have been done by the crew like Norton ranting against fans on facebook and deviantart. Misleading fans, where even Michael Jelenic admitted he liked to mislead fans. I'd put these on, but I have no sources or references to back these up. I just got them from random people on forums. --Packinheat2u (talk) 01:42, 14 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I would if I were you but there are some pissy and immature folks out there who would pitch a fit, throw temper tantrums and rush to tear down the info. I'd say give it a try though. I'll back you up. - CCC

Anyone else getting tired of butthurt fanboys like Sleeping Sandman editing the page to make it more fanboy friendly instead of presenting accurate, sourced, and agreed upon material? They really should grow up and accept that the more factual presentation is the one preferred.

Yeah, I have to agree with you; if it can't be agreed upon, it should go. But the fact is, some people - especially immature fanboys - just can't accept that the majority does not agree with them. The fact is, if Thundercats was as great and praised as folks like Sleeping Sandman want to make it out to be, it wouldn't have been shelved after one season. The ratings wouldn't have taken such a dive either. Truth is, children like Sleeping Sandman want everyone to see the series as they did, not as it really was. We could have an entire page agreeing that the edits you madee are the favored and they would still change things around just because they don't agree with it. - CCC

NWMX - You are all 100% right. I check this page every now and then and when I see that SleepingSandman or Aldebaran66 has edited information, I shake my head because I know it isn't going to be a factual edit, just their opinion. Funny though that they harass others who are trying to make this page better with comments about getting a concensus but not a single shred of their information has any sort of concensus behind it. Those two are hypocrits of the worst degree. I say the page should stay as is and that neither SleepingSandman or Aldebaran66 should even view the page without first obtaining a majority concensus to be allowed to do so. My vote goes to having the page as it was, not as SleepingSandman or Aldebaran66 want to make it.

Hi, Marco T here and I just want to say that I like the Wiki not saying anything about praise or criticism. I agree that there was more criticism than praise cause the cartoon is over so that says it didn't get enough praise but I don't want fights to start so I think it is best to not have anything about the shows praise or criticism.

Thanks for the support everyone. Lol, are you all having a Thundercats party or something wherever you are? - CCC

NWMX - Something like that. We are all friends from places like Thundercats Lair and some Facebook pages. Saw that you were having trouble keeping honest information posted so we have been trying to help you out against the trolls. There are a few on places like TCL that just annoy and insist they are right when nobody else agrees with them. Seems you have a pair of those here. Might even be some of the same trolls from TCL. Just know that you have a bunch of us all waiting at my laptop to help you when you need it.

Nice. Thanks for the support. Those two who keep switching stuff to unsourced opinions should really just troll the ThunderWiki - that site has like zero factual information about the series and is dedicated to nothing but untrue fan service. They'd be at home!

Season 2

Any news on Season 2 or has the show been cancelled?--Packinheat2u (talk) 21:15, 12 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
