Current article is destitute

[edit]

This is a biographical article about a still-living intellectual, an author and professor emeritus. It's without content concerning the man's concerns and point of view (and he definitely has one). The current article is little more than a book list. So what if he is best known as the author of a book about the emergence of the counterculture of the 1960s? There needs to be more in this article than this. Why was the content of the much earlier versions of this article eradicated, rather than improved, amended, and shaped?Joel Russ (talk) 01:09, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with the above sentiment. 69.23.143.238 (talk) 23:43, 1 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Important guy?

[edit]

You hear his name sometimes. What did he actually write about?

coined the term counterculture, and described it. gave a voice to the WHOLE arena of opposition to technocracy and related isms. gave academic credence to the historic consideration of such.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 08:17, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
