UK single in 1979

[edit]
Wasn't this a hit single in September 1979 not 1978? I can remember hearing it played constantly on the radio in Britain in September and October 1979.--jeanne (talk) 17:19, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tribute to Pink Floyd

[edit]

I always thought this song was a tribute to Pink Floyd, particularly in regard to David Gilmour having discovered Kate and promoted her to record labels. Is this definitely not the case? Martyn Smith (talk) 20:43, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure this song is about the practice of the Church of Scientology. In the city where I'm from long before this song was written the Church had a practice of putting people in a room and having them roll a ball back and forth to each other as a teaching. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.47.152.107 (talk) 16:30, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
