Inappropriate tone tag in the 'Plot summary' section

[edit]

I tagged the Plot summary section for inappropriate tone because articles should be written in a formal, descriptive tone. The plot summary (see version) of this article contains a few parts which seem more suitable for a non-neutral review of the book (intended to draw readers into the story or create dramatic/emotional effect) rather than a neutral description of it. For example:

  • "Mia Thermopolis is in a royal muddle."
  • "Her one and only boyfriend..."
  • "At the dinner, disaster strikes."
  • "Then comes the birthday party."

A general cleanup of the plot summary would be appreciated. The Manual of Style guideline on writing about fiction and the essay on how to write a plot summary may be useful aids.
