169.231.28.100 (talk) 08:50, 14 February 2016 (UTC) This album's genre should also be considered a gospel album. Throughout the album there are many bible references and choir singing and it meets the genre criteria.[reply]

Not done: as you have not cited reliable sources to back up your request, without which no information should be added to, or changed in, any article.
Genres are quite contentious, and what editors think the genres are, is just their PoV, and not sufficient for inclusion - Arjayay (talk) 10:49, 14 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Reliable sources are needed to confirm genres. Marking this section as resolved since the request has been addressed. ---Another Believer (Talk) 21:15, 14 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

GA nominee

[edit]

Aitch & Aitch Aitch I have seen that you nominated this article for GA status and I have made a few changes for helping it improve to that status. Multiple refs in the introduction were removed by me, as I made sure the information there was sourced in sections, though some are still remaining and to help get the article up to status, there should be none in the intro. Make sure that all of the information in the introduction is sourced in the main article and if it isn't but is sourced in the intro, then move the source(s) to the appropriate section(s) and keep the info in the introduction if it is notable enough. Hope you understand! --Kyle Peake (talk) 17:06, 24 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Y’all are really letting a drive by nomination by an editor who has only made 2 contributions to the page do GA nominations now? Any other scenario, the person would be barked at, reverted, and sent to the administrators. Trillfendi (talk) 17:47, 24 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Trillfendi A nomination counts as a nomination, whether it is done by a suitable nominator or not. I do agree that this user should have contributed more to the article before nominating, but they can do so and know more about what to do now that I have informed them. --Kyle Peake (talk) 17:51, 24 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Kyle Peake Sorry Kyle but I disagree with you on this one. Making 2 edits doesn't mean you have the right to nominate articles for GAs, FAs, etc. This article is also nowhere near GA status, as last time I checked, it has over 30 dead links (which are mostly tweets by West that can no longer be archived). Looking at this user's contributions as well, he/she has barely edited any of West's articles, let alone the fact that their last 150 edits go back all the way to January 2019. I agree with Trillfendi, this should be reviewed and undone by an administrator. – zmbro (talk) 19:01, 25 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Correction: I just checked the toolbox and it said there are no dead links. However, the 'sources' sections in this article makes no sense as all of them are websites and should be sourced correctly and not like book sources. I still stand that it's nowhere near GA status. – zmbro (talk) 19:06, 25 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Zmbro It's fine, you are probably more aware of how edits such as this should be undertaken than me anyway. I don't see why this user hasn't commented yet, as they have been active since me and others commented. --Kyle Peake (talk) 19:05, 25 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Aitch & Aitch Aitch: Are you aware of the responsibilities that come with nominating an article for Good status? Are you willing to see this through the entire nomination process and address concerns raised by reviewing editor(s)? ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:53, 24 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Another Believer: I was initially up for it, but judging by the comments above, it seems that I'm probably not cut out for it. I will withdraw. Aitch & Aitch Aitch (talk) 14:53, 27 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Add label info Good Music, Roc-A-Fella, & Def Jam Those are the releasing labels. Roc-A-Fella is added to keep the branding alive so copyright office doesn't revoke the license to use the name. Example, JAY Z's MCHG had a Roc-A-Fella Logo but it was released by Roc Nation and Universal. You can research on the Def Jam Website, hit releases and then hit Roc-A-Fella. Most of Kanye's Releases are there currently. Thank You. Defjamad661 (talk) 23:47, 27 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. --allthefoxes (Talk) 16:51, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ADDED: SOURCE(DefJam.com/Releases) then hit Roc-A-Fella, then you would see kanyes latest releases released under that label
