The lede should reflect the entirety of their output, not who they are today. A section could be added to discuss their style, and include their recent social media post, but their career needs to be reflected in the lede. Walter Görlitz (talk) 16:41, 27 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The band says they are no longer doing Christian music. If the lead sentence phrased in the present tense, which it certainly should be, then it should state their present genre, though certainly past genres can be mentioned.--Wehwalt (talk) 16:42, 27 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I think that's a perfect solution.
Your last edit, was good, but a section in the article is preferable. The lede and infobox should summarize the article, not introduce new material.
The Devil Wears Prada is an American metalcore band from Dayton, Ohio, formed in 2005 that came to prominence as a Christian metal act.
We would then need to create a section in the article using early reviews and content like https://www.allmusic.com/album/transit-blues-mw0002965528 that makes it clear they have toned down their Christian message and then transition to their social media post. Simply updating the lede and infobox is too little. Walter Görlitz (talk) 06:02, 28 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've added a brief section that can be expanded if necessary, and re-implemented the language you thought was good.--Wehwalt (talk) 16:24, 28 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Not ideal, but it works well enough. Thanks for the extra effort. Walter Görlitz (talk) 18:18, 28 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Clarifying Graph

[edit]

Members

[edit]

Timeline

[edit]

The graph is lovely but what does the thinner portion of graph mean??? I have come to believe it means the period they are session musician. If so, Mason is said to be session musician in 2018 but this is missing from the graph.

And the black vertical lines -- studio album/EP releases?

Correct the grammar of this sentence: "Some sources described the band, and their works, were in their early years described as metalcore"

"Described" is used twice. "Were" should also be removed. Nikolas Esquilin (talk) 15:20, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion of new image

[edit]

The current image is very old and only 2 of the band members are still in the band, I suggest updating the image to something more recent that reflects the current lineup. https://i0.wp.com/wallofsoundau.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/The-Devil-Wears-Prada-e1632391115749.jpg?fit=2048%2C942&ssl=1 2001:1970:52E6:AE00:0:0:0:B67A (talk) 20:40, 12 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

"Previously a Christian metalcore band"

[edit]

This phrase occurs very early in the WP:LEAD. It's needs adjustment, as it's hard to understand what the previously is referring to. Are they no longer Christian? No longer metalcore? No longer a band?

Normally I would fix this sort of poor wording myself, but I'm not familiar with this band and was just passing by after I heard one of their songs. I added a clarification needed tag, but was reverted with given any clarification, so I brought it here. Sergecross73 msg me 16:27, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

When you leave a tag, you are supposed to leave a talk page note. An edit summary isn't sufficient because it can be hard to find. Wehwalt (talk) 16:34, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've rephrased. They used to be deemed Christian metalcore but aren't anymore. Wehwalt (talk) 16:35, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Great, thanks. Sergecross73 msg me 16:37, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Change the main photo to a more recent photo. The current one features more ex-band members than current band members and is very out of date. Unfix4ble2.0 (talk) 15:27, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This is the best image we have on Commons right now. Do you have any specific suggestions? Liu1126 (talk) 20:36, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
